Ehh, I don't like how the guys on ESPN never really have anything too good to say about 'em. Not too long ago, they picked the Marlins to win the wild card while the Astros were hot. Astros still hot, they pick the Cubs. Astros will just keep provin' 'em wrong and shuttin' David Justice up.
Perhaps... although this was nowhere near as bad as the one against the Cardinals. They were probably expecting a really junky pitch on 0-2, in the dirt, and Berkman was banking on that... he just left a little too early.
I like that play by Vizcaino, but I got a question for y'all... Everett is the better shortstop but would probably be a little rusty out there playing. Yeah defense is defense but it's been a while. Would you keep the better hitter in Vizcaino in throughout the playoffs or try and ease Everett in after all the time off?
They brough in Everrett in the last inning last night but i don't think we rush in Everett he is not fully healed and i would not want him out there being a little rusty when Jose has been playing well for the last few months.
I don't think anybody is considering Everett as the "better" hitter right now. Viz has both the luxury of being a switch-hitter, as well as the plethora of playoff experience against these pitchers. Everett gives you another base-stealing threat, but he's a dead-pull hitter... he's got more pop though. UGH... bad defensive play... and now Andruw is coming up.
OH C'MON ASTROS!!!! THAT BETTER NOT LET THEM IN IT! It'd give the announcers just what they want for one thing.
