Don't EVER buy so much into the Texans that you let it impact your mood the next day. Once they prove themselves like the Patriots, Astros and Chiefs did - then maybe, but until then - this is still a McNair team.
I don't want to watch sports media calling the Texans frauds, embarrassments etc. Even though I know that they are right.
Indeed. The national media would be right in this case. It does make it a bit depressing to watch, yeah.
You don't need the sports media to tell you the Texans are frauds. You can get that right here in the CLUTCH
****, dude, I can get pissed when UT and/or Texans lose...gimme 30 minutes and I'm over it. I can't even recall who pitched the 2 postseason games for the Stros this year? I remember nothing.
I'm a basic b**** when it comes to my sports media intake. When we win, I'm all over highlights and national commentary lapping up all the praise like a starving puppy. But when we lose, I just dive into all the work I neglected during the weeks where we won. That philosophy has done me well in my 41 years.
I get it, the Texans are surrounded by so much negativity for basically their whole existence it has been a nice run they went on recently. The positivity was refreshing. Back to normal now.
It's not about choosing not to watch, I enjoyed watching it while the Texans were winning. I enjoy hearing what others had to say about our team. So now not only am I pissed because of the loss, I have to avoid doing something that I enjoyed doing which was watching sports media, all because I don't want to hear our team get trashed even tho they deserve it. I also dislike watching any NFL games after the texans lose, when they win, I'm all for watching other teams, but when they lose, I avoid it as well.
It's cool to fume for the night, but tmrw is always a new day. What helped me over the years was watching other teams play the game at a high level and then of course having to endure 20+years of the Texans so you see both sides of the coin playing DFS also helps me get over a game fast. So much untapped potential with this team, but I've seen enough to know they aren't good enough to win a SB at this point in time. Can that change? Of course. Right now things have to change and the team has to get healthy sans Diggs. I liked what I heard postgame, but let's see them act on what they said. 6-3 isn't a bad place to be and we have one of the best QBs on the planet. Lions in primetime... should be fun.
Yeah - part of it is that you and I are staring down the barrel of 40 years of not only serious fandom of sports but knowledge of sports and that we have zero control over the outcome.... life is too short.
Should we make a deal? Cowboys Trade of All-Pro Zack Martin Must Be Jerry Jones Deadline Option There is a time and a place to start moving present pieces now in order to gain future assets. But by Sunday night? With the deadline on Tuesday, the Cowboys clock will be ticking. What could Martin net Dallas? We don't know that, either. But while his presence is valuable here in many ways - even on a losing team, he's a leader and a role model and a key Prescott protector - a 2025 NFL Draft pick needs to have its value calculated, too. And we are now on the eve of that "calculation'' time ... even for a player as great and valued as the legendary Zack Martin. https://athlonsports.com/nfl/dallas...in-must-be-jerry-jones-deadline-option/roster
Getting emotionally invested in a sports team is one of the worst decisions one can make. Just real dumb dumb behavior. But its cool You're among the dumb dumbs here. rant away, my guy.
It's just the same ol sorry Texans being blessed in a sorry ass division again. People calling this team a contender set the fanbase up for big disappointment. Until they actually play in a real meaningful game (AFC championship or above) or come even close or look like an organization who's trying to get close, this team doesn't deserve diehard fans. They deserve the apathy that they are starting to get again.
