I love that he's acting like we played "well" in the first half bc of the defense. No we didn't. And the QB was getting hit plenty before halftime, when he nearly got knocked out of the game (on an illegal shin kick no less).
I know, but you can't change a playbook overnight. Best the Texans can do and/or hope for is Jerrod Johnson as new playcaller, and I have no real problem with that.
Bill Obrien with a much better demeanor. "it's on me" "we gotta correct it" "we've won 6 games with kenyon" "goal is to keep the game close and win it in the 4th quarter" Man I love you Demeco but you're just killing me this year.
Ummm, our true best player got injured and doesn’t look like he will be back healthy next game or games..sooo, I would say we were unlucky…
If the playbook doesn't include HB screens or quick outs to begin with, then you need to take that playbook, douse it with kerosine, light it on fire. Then take the charred remains, put them in a bottle, fill it with sugar and liquid oxygen, and throw a match inside the bottle.
I do not understand why some of yall care so much about what bullshit is said by the team(s) postgame and between games. Have you never seen Bull Durham? Do you expect anything other than platitudes and cliches?
I said serious injury, I doubt that WAJ was long term. I mean he came back in playing on it, I bet he was shut down with the idea it wasn't worth risking further injury with a 10 day rest up ahead.
Leave Slowik and the entire O Line in New York. The silver lining hope here is maybe this forces Caserio to do something big before Tuesday's trade deadline, although I'm not holding my breath.
I bet you CJ and the receivers themselves could draw up some quick hitting plays on the fly and execute them in a game. We aren't talking about complex route trees here. If anything, it's dumbing down an offense that seems to be drawn up by a guy trying to act smart.
Not trying to be a jackass, I'm clearly pissed off... But do you really believe that an NFL playbook doesn't contain HB screens and quick outs? We just don't run them, especially the quick outs. HB screens we do run sometimes but we never seem to be able to execute them well. Opponents run them like they're playing Madden.
Half of those plays by Rodgers in the second half were just audibles on the line. Those quick outs aren't even really routes, it's just "run to the flat and look up"
LOL, sure. The OL pass blocking schemes have worked so well, why not change it on the fly and wing it for a bit?
Dude was saying hopefully this sparks Caserio to make a trade, smh. Nick loves his useless 6th round picks.
I think the point is that could help the **** o line. Rodgers basically didn't need any protection at all on a lot of those quick outs to Wilson, etc. That's the idea. But the Texans make simple things looks exceedingly difficult.
