This Sunday, I was walking around the “lake” behind the Whole Foods near 59 and Highway 6, getting my dad out for some exercise. Lo and behold, we see a really tall African American man walking toward us with a comparatively small lady. As we get closer, I hear the voice and it’s Hakeem. We say hi, along with some other folks sitting on benches nearby. Hakeem is still so humble and kind. He noticed that my 84 year old dad was wearing a rockets t shirt and complimented him. The legend just doing what normal people do on a Sunday.
