I think it's comical how doesn't know how to play basketball and shouldn't be in the rotation for any NBA team suddenly becomes I was correct at the time I said it in a desperate attempt to save face.

Even more so when absolutely nobody on this site values his opinions to begin with.

    Them:
"Jalen does have the most flexible softest wrists on the team…"
    "Jalen is WNBA talent"
"That’s the positive side of being a delicate fem, you don’t have these hang-ups of being THE MAN."
"What I don't understand is the Jalen Green ass slurpers. What's their deal? Are they ethnic Philippinos? Why don't they say so? Is it social justice warriors who see Jalen as potential transgender and want to protect him? Is it psychosexual closet crush? "
"there is nothing wrong physically with Jalen Green. All this talk about wingspan, skinniness, hand-size, none of it is relevant, there has been many, many NBA superstars with much less imposing physical attributes. What we haven’t had, though yet is a star that has the personality and demeanor of an Instagram model."
"big words, but you're the one who is ignorant if you think that mental aspects do not matter in the game AND that that personality cannot be assessed by both on-court and off-court demeanor. The kid is a feminine softie."
"Last year he looked like a teenage girl, so there’s that, at least…"
"How is it unrelated to how he plays basketball???? He plays like a vagina!"
"But to get invested in a weirdo multi-millionaire, who plays like he’s afraid he’ll chip his manicure, ONLY because his jumping and running traits are elite? no thanks."
"The kid looks, speaks, acts and plays like a teenage girl, that’s just a fact."
"Jalen Green doesn't really suck. It sucks that we couldn't get a bona-fide That Guy at #2, and it also sucks that a guy with such God-given talent is such a gina"

    Also them:
"It's just valid criticism, nobody owes Jalen an apology"
    :rolleyes::confused:

Too soon bro. All in all he was unbelievable in the last two games, gave the team and the fans everything we wanted.

But he needs a longer stretch of games to prove he is March 2023 Jalen. Just to get rid of the inconsistency tag,

"Good game Jalen. Please keep it up for the rest of the season to increase your trade value."
" Rockets still treat him like the #2 pick in the draft and he still has that mentality about himself. Getting traded for pennies might shake him up and flip a switch."
"I'm still for shipping him out, in a deal for the right target"
"How about we dump Jalen for another Cam Whitmore, yes a clone. That way we have Cam as a starter and when he gets tired Cam2 comes in off the bench to replace him."
"Is there really room on this roster for Jalen Green next season?"
"Just not someone reliable after signing the big contract." (ironic when you compare his vs Alpi's post signing performance lol)
"I’m excited he’s increasing his trade value."

A lot of you genuinely don't deserve a player as good as Jalen on your team tbh.

I'm sure everybody knows who wrote that one. All of that post is quotes from 1 member. He's up there with invocuck, who I personally think is the worst between the white supremacy and the saying he'd have made Jalen into a "cam femboy" in GRADE SCHOOL. Tells you a lot about a person what they think is "humour."

I hope for your sake (and the Rockets, and our sanity) this thread isn't warranted in being bumped 50 times this season.

Systematic and institutionalized discrimination/racism is part of the history and culture of the collective West.. So, after suffering under the white man's yoke for a long time, some blacks end up showing a similar behavior pattern as a side effect of living in the West too.. Sometimes, they also use it as an excuse to justify their own discriminatory views..

That's why discrimination and attacks against Alperen might increase soon.. Because he is a foreigner, and also a Muslim.. For example, you wrote "Sengoofy" in a previous message.. Someone else wrote "wipe off that baklava grease from your fingers" or something like that in another thread after he made a turnover..

Such cynical and degrading remarks that seem like foolish jokes only reflect your real mentality, and proves how quickly you will go further than a sport, and turn against someone different than you..

I was critical about Green in the past years. If he can keep this up my view on him will definitely change. But I do need him to have a strong year, not just a strong month. Last year he was not one of our 2 best players, currently he is playing like the best player, hopefully he can keep this up.

I am still worried if he can keep this up. I do not love the shots he is getting. It sometimes feels more like he is able to hit the difficult shots which he missed a lot last year, and not him getting easier shots. So still not loving his shot selection, and I would love it if he was able to get easier shots. That being said I had the same problem with Kobe, and he did win some championships.

So lets see if he can keep this up.

Kobe still played in the era before Curry and before rotations ballooned up to 12-13 players.

Now it has been more about the Lukas, the Currys, the SGAs, Chets and Wembys. The Tatums and Browns.

    • Positionless and selfless basketball, less Isos, more bench scoring.
    • Shooting, spacing, switching, efficiency, cutting and off ball movement, creative passing.
    • Jokic and Sengoon as a big man hub.

Thing is western academia is reconstruction history 1800s and its all flipped/trading places just like the Eddie Murphy film

Just go read the 1828 definition of American and go look at the cover of the US immigrant pamphlet .... the foreigners come to the Americas because it is the biblical promised land of milk n honey, literally....

Also read the ''White Declaration of Independence 1898'' where they say they will never be ruled by men of African origin ever again

Also read the letter of Ben Banneker to Thomas Jefferson 1791 so you can see who was really under the yoke (Albion Slavic Negro / so-called whites)

I would post a bunch of books showcasing this as well but there is no need because you probably won't believe the previous sources I just showcased

And a so-called black man was the first legal slave owner in the 13 States of America's history, his name is Anthony Johnson or something similar

And also 70% of the slave masters in old world/modern America, were melanin females....... Matriarchs ran the Empires/Kingdoms of the west in antiquity

Yes, hopefully you are. His defense has been great in all four games (that side counts also), and while he was inefficient in streaks, that’s how basketball is and why you have to look at both team context (who else would you prefer shooting?) and average over time (do the streaks balance out in the player’s favor?). Jalen has been under control and, except for late in the one game jacking up threes in garbage time, taking shots that were good for the team’s expected value.

More importantly, the defense and “gravity” on offense have been consistent.

While it’s completely fair to say “only four games”, don’t try to rewrite things to make it a single game.

Cam Whitmore is one dimensional, sees basket, tries to be a Bull to the Basket. It doesn't work that way, either it's a offensive Foul or a Turnover, Getting Blocked. You become predictable.

If you play Guard or Forward, working the Pick and Roll and driving laterally towards the Basket and passing to the Roller. Those areas of his Game is not in his Game.

Dont owe any of you goobers over-invested in 1 player a single thing. And Jalen has owed US the fans & organization consistent play. If 4 games means Jalen has arrived, it also means in 4 games that Sengun & Amen suck & need to be cut. Need longer sustained performance

That's because you only look at offense.

Unfortunately, defensive stats in general are not too useful because of the noise involved and how other players impact the numbers. Furthermore, some players get harder assignments, and so their individual defensive figures might look comparatively worse as a result. Therefore, your best bet really is eye test, and it seems quite obvious that Green has been a much improved defender.

It's somewhat supported by the individual defended FGA%. Amen Thompson unsurprisingly, seems to cause opponents to miss the most. Green is quite far up the ranks in terms of contesting shots and forcing misses.

Obviously, this stat is not without limitation. Players that guard harder assignments (Tari Eason and Dillon Brooks, although I would argue Dillon Brooks actually isn't nearly as good a defender as Eason or Amen), will be penalised by having to guard better offensive players. However, we can always look at previous seasons for comparison.

The rankings of these players are not as important as the season on season improvement.

Jalen Green's opponents tend to shoot better when guarded by him in the last 3 seasons. In 4 games so far, albeit with a small sample size, opponents shoot noticeably worse when guarded by Jalen Green. However, not only do they shoot worse, Green seems to be guarding more shot attempts than in previous seasons, so there is more sample size to work with as well.

Again, sample size overall is still very small, but the eye tests correlate with some statistical figures on his defensive improvement, especially when you compare it to previous seasons where Green cannot be considered a good defender. However, in this season, you can make a realistic argument that Green is a positive defender on the court. In fact, Udoka having Green finish games on defense is already proof of that.
