Players don't want to play 82 games. Coaching staffs don't want them to play 82 games. Fans don't actually want 82 games. We would like fewer games that carried more meaning, and we would like the best players to have the chance to be healthy in the playoffs. I wish to hell the players and owners could come together, agree to make a tiny bit less money, at least for a brief while, and set a permanent 60 or 64 game schedule. Less travel, less wear and tear, more exciting games with more players playing. Yes, I know this will never happen. But now you're going to have NBA inquisition going around and poking stars in the knee to see if they're really hurting bad enough to miss a game. What a farce.
Morey’s organization involved in yet another investigation…this MFer is always trying to skirt the rules or do something questionable the Olympics was months ago and Embiid, who claimed he dropped 25 pounds and is in the best shape of his life blah blah blah, misses the entire preseason and isn’t ready for opening night…already rules himself out of every B2B before the season even started as well what a joke say what u want about Harden, but u could at least trust him to show up in the regular season for the fans when he was our superstar…he actually wanted to play games
The thing for me is he falls in every game several times, takes like an hour to get up, and then an hour to run back down the court. He's not right. So do I think he's a walking injury waiting to happen. I do. But he's also just hobbled. Agree that the league investigation is a farce. The League saying they are investigating the sixers, not Embiid, sounds stupid to me. This begins and ends with Embiid. Not the Sixers. I don't think the Sixers are telling him not to play. I do think Embiid is incapable of going. Most players want to play in my experience. Statistics don't really matter in the nba as much as say baseball, but I still believe players want to be on the court for the pure enjoyment of it.
Sources said the NBA’s investigation showed that the Sixers did not violate player participation policy with Embiid’s missed games, but in fact with the public comments that did not properly reflect his health issues with his knee.
I was a big DM fan when he was in Houston, I honestly thought he was very good at a few things and lacked in some. He always tried to find every advantage he could, but he has fallen off majorly. He does not even look like he is taking care of himself, he looks 15 years older than he actually is in the picture he posted on his Instagram a few days ago. The way they handle Embiid w the media is a joke, but giving a 34 year old Paul George $211M until he is 38 is absurd, the fact neither can even start the season im not sure how Philly can support him.
While they are at it, they should open up a sports Forensic investigation and do an exploration on the Grand Embiid Canyons first two seasons to see if he was hurt or just holding out for the tanking to better their odds in the lottery on serious note...If I were Embiid at this stage of being a walking injury..... I would play all home games if healthy, and half of the road games (all the contenders/playoff bound)
Paul George was overrated with the Clippers. . .hell even with the Thunder His best time was his Pacer time Pre injury He has been a middle of the road player for sometimes He was suppose to be the shut down defender but doesn't seem like he has been that for a while. YES - He was not ridiculously better than Harden on defense and he disappeared as much as folx said Harden did on offense. When he was there Morey did inherit a shitshow of Embiid and Simmons neither could remain healthy or keep their head in the game Harden for Simmons was a good deal but he didn't fill out the roster Maxey is a star to MAYBE build around but I see him in the Donovan Mitchell mold He needs another Solid 1B . . .maybe a 1A Rocket River
Three games is ridiculous. Embiid is a human...and the press should respect him as such. Don't prod about family trying to get a newsworthy reaction. Reporter should be banned from NBA locker rooms.
