Maybe you forgot Jalen was drafted 19 yrs old. Of course he will play bad he was put in a tanking organization and nobody held him accountable till last year. Last year after a rough adjustment he responded positively and continued that all the way to today.

Where is the vitriol for Reed Sheppard? He has been more ineffective than Jalen his rookie year yet I dont see you flaming RS. At least Jalen saw play his rookie year and was never a bystander on the court. Udoka couldnt play RS more than 3 mins cuz if he did we lose the game.

With the way Sheppard has been playing he should be getting flamed and 10 new threads should be made saying we drafted a bust. Thats the treatment JG and Jabari got, crazy how RS is given the prince treatment though despite being a bigger scrub than Jabari and Green ever were.

He could be the successor to the Teflon Don aka Shane Battier. 2/2/2 and 0 nights but nobody says ****..

I’m a Baylor grad and huge Baylor hoops fan and also fuch that guy.

Also, if you tune in late and didn’t get to watch the game…and you start from the last post in this thread and work backwards, you’d absolutely assume we lost until you get to the celebratory posts that say something like WE WON

Well tbh this is a phyric victory.

We needed Super Saiyan Jalen to eke out a win against the Spurs who are prob gonna be the worst team in the West. I think people have a right to be mad hell I'm still mad the Spurs almost won the game lol.

He is costing Rockets games by being a bystander and not producing every time he is on the court.

Even Udoka lost trust in him only played him 6 mins last time and only 3 mins this time. We brought him in to be FVV understudy and he is very ineffective so far. He should be put in GLeague till he learns how to play ball.

Nah JG should be the backup pg and they give Cam or Amen mins at the SG spot. Or make Amen the backup pg straight up.

Banchero is inevitable. Wanted him the moment i laid my eyes on him on Youtube (no homo or maybe it is who cares). He will morph into a player who has no major or even minor flaws in his game.

If Sheppard played 10 mins we lose the game. Sheppard sucks ass RN he should be thrown to GLeague till his play picks up.

Lot of thoughts about this one, both good and bad, things to positive about and things to be concerned about. I’ll try to keep it short:

    1. Green seems to be very confident and I bet that contract doesn’t hurt. If there’s one thing he needs to get better at is passing. He sometimes has this tendency to do this thing with his wrist that almost feels like he wants to throw a wrap-around pass with one hand and it almost never goes well.

    2. Sengun is in his head, clearly. His confidence is low and I can imagine it’s not easy when he gets very little opportunity in the offense to be a consistent anchor. It’s all pick and roll, pick and pop and whenever he gets the ball, he just has to freewheel it since we run almost zero sets with guys cutting, back screens etc. I bet Sengun would do much better under an Adelman who knows how to utilize a big both as a passer and as a scorer. This is on coaching, our system and the team almost as much as it is on Sengun.

    3. Jabari, Tari our big situation. I am concerned if this is who Sengun really is with added muscle then at some point either Jabari needs to become a legitimate 6’10 guy like a Lamarcus Aldridge for this frontcourt to work. Jabari finally played an all round solid game, but man did he allow Sochan to punk him too much. He put up a fight at times but other times just couldn’t do anything but accept a pounding. Just like Sengun. Now Tari I feel is somehow nifty enough and more fired up to put up resistance. If he can keep his fouls down and continue to play as he does and Jabari is this inconsistent 20-30 games in, I think we need to try Tari next to Sengun. That would give Jabari more of a go-to guy off the bench and ability to punish the lesser PFs and SFs they will put on him. We just need more from that PF position.

    4. Adams. Man, so good to see him out there. First solid screen put two guys out of play and gave Green an open lane for the dunk. Guys just need to know where to pass it to him. They can get away with some of those ankle passes to Sengun but not with Adams. His rebounding, force and screens are really valuable to us. Just need to find the right combinations so we don’t lose too much of our spacing.

    5. Rotations and coaching. I see improvement on the rotations and as most will recognize, they are figuring that out and I already saw a proper mix of 1st and 2nd team come 2nd and 4th quarter. No more full team change, which has been disastrous. Now I still think Ime has too many shortcomings to overcome so a priority for this team has to be and quite frankly should’ve been to bring in a offensive coordinator who Ime has to accept. My concern is that Ime signed with us because he has free reign and does not like to be told what to do with his team. He believes in himself and whatever system they are trying to run and while good for him and trying to make guys believe it, I just don’t see how it will work out in the long run. Even if we get better 3pt shooters, this is another failure waiting to happen with a lot of standing around, watching FVV or Green go 1-on-1 or pick and roll with a big.

    6. FVV - I will stick to my guy until he shows me otherwise, but he was so key to winning this game. Green might get the glory, but this guy made timely shots, was never rattled and did you see how many times he deflected a ball or just got in there to make it tough on the opponent? He was credited for 2 steals but easily got 6-7. There was one instance with him, Amen and Tari and they all got in there and it was a thing of beauty. The one knock on him is allowing his instincts to swipe and steal the ball to overtake his ability to think rationally since you cannot just do that with CP3. It didn’t work and he should realize that.

    7. Defense. Man, that 1st quarter we were so on point with our defense. 2nd quarter as well. Then we let up a bit and got punked in the 2nd half. That cannot happen. Cannot allow freaking Sochan to just roam around and grab all those rebounds. There was one instance where both Jabari and Brooks did not guard Sochan but were too busy looking at where the 3pt shooter and Wemby were and it was a fast break. Also too many guys lost Sochan among others on a cut or rebound. That needs to be addressed and soon! But overall I liked how we came out and brought it.

In conclusion, there was a lot of good, but definitely some serious concerns. It’s a wait and see game, but I have much less faith in this team being some 5-8 seed who can challenge the top of Mount Westmore. Especially because of how small we are, we play, lack of 3pt shooting and offensive system.

Finally getting to watch the replay after a long day of meetings/work and League Pass is only offering some dumb stream called NBA DataMode (beta) and they only have the Spurs feed.

I ****ing hate NBA League Pass so much. Worst thing is the mother****ers will never improve because there is no other way to watch every Rockets game down here so I'll always buy it. ****!

It's really weird how in cities like San Antonio and Utah and Boston, the stands end up being filled with assholes. Just about every person in this stadium looks like a scumbag. Except for all the big ol' churro enthusiasts lol

They need to insert a new scorer/shooter in this. It should be at least discussed. Tari occasional starting over Bari should be the first step of things to change.

In order to give this Offense a new look. Malik Monk would have been great right now or either one Bogdanovices........Brogdon is an afterthought.

Jesus kid, I get that you desperately want attention but embarrassing yourself like this isn't the way to go.

When I said Jalen was bad, it was because he was bad. Now that he's not playing poorly, I say he's playing well.

I know that basic honesty goes over your head, but you should work on it.

    Good luck!

Dear Bobby the Great Fraud. Please pick up a basketball. Please read up on basketball principles. Please ask anyone who’s really played what its like playing or to help you with what you’re watching on tv. If you have a big mouth it’s gotta be backed by something. Best of luck.

    Your num 1 fan
