Ime Udoka on loss to Spurs, benching Alperen Sengun late (10/26/2024)

Agree. It seems like Sengun does not have much leg strength. He keeps falling down, out of balance, and easily pushed around even by smaller guys. He seemed to have been gassed at just halfway in every one of the games played so far. He seems to have his timing off on both sides of the floor, and most of his shots are short like he has no strength at all. The ball is also easily ripped from his hands. What happened in the summer to prepare him for the season? Did they also over-coach him with so many different voices resulting in him over-thinking during games? This is the first time that I have seen him so tentative and indecisive about what to do on the court. What happened? Can you give us answers, Ime?

This is the kind of game Sengun is expected to have -- having been recently signed to new deal.

 

anyway, you know what I say is the truth. Our team plays better without Sengun and we don't need him. It's normal to see him as an expendable piece after one terrible game.

Especially since Ime spoke about playing faster pace & shooting more 3s..... That is the Dantoni 7 seconds or less but with more emphasis on defense
