Based on the eye test Green TS% for this game was at least 68

I mean our best player is becoming the superstar we knew he'd be. Still think he's just a Sixth man?

The win was good but the coach has some work to do.

Personally I have enjoyed Bobby’s extensive commentary on this game and Jalen’s performance. His balanced and objective analysis has been spot on, and I appreciate the maturity he has shown by admitting his unearned arrogance was misplaced.

I mean he was a tornado in the D&D a few years back if people recall but since that time pretty tame.

If you come back from that mess......okay yeah, hats off.

I think that post was satire Booby was MIA which is what happens whenever JG has a good game. As a Jater only shows up to troll when JG plays like ass.

One of the youngsters is starting to look like the kind of player that carries a coach like Udoka in the modern NBA and he knows it.

edit: the "hunting" part is also especially revealing. If he feels like that on offense then he's most certainly aware who of our guys is going to be singled out.

Two great games back to back for Green. I may not like the way Green plays when he's off, but the offense is so good when he's good. Very hopeful early signal that he did turn a corner at the end of last season such that he's great much more often than not.

It's beginning to look that way. Would be nice to be able to root for him instead of getting frustrated.

Got the W! Gave up a 20 point lead, but got the W

I would be interested to see two sets of lineups:
FVV - R33d - McVeigh - Brooks - Sengun (sprinkle in some Adams) = half court sets w/ Alpi working the middle & surrounded by shooters & high IQ bball players

Amen / Holiday - Thrilla - Cam - Tari - Bari = uptempo / get out & go / crazy switchable (Cam & Thrilla could be problematic on defense, but get the points right back on offense)

    Just a thought

I actually feel bad for the people who get a high from being the first to call a young player a bust. I get there's some instant gratification from "being right" when a young players struggles to find consistency in the league, but it must be a sad feeling to realize that no one thinks you're smart, everyone with a brain knows it's better to be patient and enjoy seeing players develop, and then not even be able to enjoy their ascendancy to stardom for the few guys who do make the jump. I just imagine the grown men who have been hating on this kid trying to figure out how they'll spend their day after he plays great, quietly wishing his next bad game will happen so they can post here again. Sad.

It’s always nice when players can unlock consistent performance that meets the level of talent they posses.

Whoa, Whoa, Whoa.... wait a second. Did I just hear Coach Udoka say that something a player did was phenomenal??!! I had to back up the video and listen again. In answer to Jalen's growth regarding reading the defense and making the right play... "Yeah absolutely he's been phenomenal all year as far as that.." ... :D

agreed. I’m happy Jalen is starting off well. Not worried about Sengun. I am worried about our offense generally, which looks like total crap. It’s just the truth. Coach has to do something differently on offense than just hoping Jalen can create a shot. Last night the ball movement was the best in 4 games, so that’s a start, but I still don’t see a coherent offense…or an offensive philosophy really.

Jalen Green came into the league with the description of a scoring savant. He’s made tremendous progress on defense last season, now it’s time to refocus on his scoring prowess.

As he fills out his body, he should have a lot more left in the tank throughout the game. Last season you could see his legs were gone on his jump shot, because of the expenditure of energy on playing NBA quality defense. And by defense for Green, it’s a slightly above league average, but at least it’s respectable defensive effort.

it’s only a few games, but credit is due where credit is earned!
