Any news on Rockest honoring Mitchell Wiggins this year? I think it would be perfect to do this on Saturday, with his son in the building, since he will forever be a Rockets legend. A video tribute and some words by a peer, John Lucas or someone like Dream, would be fitting.

Honor him for what? Getting suspended and destroying a championship caliber team .... along with Sweet Lou.

I remember it like it as yesterday, battling the Celtics in the finals .....

Next news we get is that Wiggins and Lloyd would be suspended for two years. Total disaster. Championship hopes crushed.

May as well give that crackhead Stevie the keys to the city while we're at it.

Hope you find some curiosity and empathy there, because calling someone a crackhead and refusing to acknowledge that Wiggins was human and contributed to that championship caliber team is not something I would call respectful, to put it lightly. Be better.

I think it is a bit late, should have done something 'In memoriam' the moment he passed.

I mean as for Andrew, the Rockets actually benefitted from Wiggins not playing well or at all last season.

They came close to overtaking GSW in the standings.

I have empathy, I realize he was only human and we all screw up .... some worse than others.

I just don't think it's worth the effort to "celebrate" someone who was not only self destructive but destructive to the franchise.

He and the guy I called a crackhead are the poster children of self destruction - both had all the talent imaginable and wasted it.

Just doesn't seem like cause for celebration to me.

nostalgia is great and all ....

I don't remember Steve having many issues off the court while he was a Rocket.

I rather look at the world from a positive and human perspective rather than a judgmental and negative one, where we focus on flaws and what people did wrong / mistakes they made. To suggest Francis was anything other than a great player while he was here is just silly. I don’t care about anything he was doing off the court, it certainly wasn’t crack. And if we followed your reasoning and view, how should we view John Lucas or a Vernon Maxwell?
Celebrating is different from honoring a dead person too btw.

One of the better ideas I’ve ever read in my 3,227 years of hanging out on CF. Well done, sir….great idea.

I believe the league should do it ..... for the people that passed at least.

The organization should just keep on improving and fixing that green shadow.

I have experienced tributes for ex players, ex role players but I have not seen many for the members of the deceased.

    And Andrew wasn't the Rocket.

Normally what you expect is a statement from the team and 1 minute of Silence but in September, time of passing.

    It's a decent idea.
