It’s obvious you do have a misconception because you simply don’t understand and you undervalue scoring or great offensive performances. Again nothing comes easy in a professional league and to distinguish scoring between “good” and “bad” teams shows a fundamental lack of understanding of how basketball works and makes light of the effort and play of opposing “bad teams”. If you’re a player thinking you can drop 40 any given night on a “bad” team then you’re an idiot that doesn’t belong in the league. If scoring was so easy Kobe should have never beat his chest or shout a primal scream after dropping 40 plus on “lesser” opponents. No point if it’s a piece of cake. Like i said misconception.
Has he finally become more consistent, from the very beginning of the season no less? Worth every penny of his extension, if he can keep it up.
Let's just hope we have money for the next one. Because if he keeps this up, in 2 years we likely have to extend him again for an actual max or he'll go to the Lakers or somebody else who will.
Differences I see -Bigger, thicker more effort and awareness on D. -Shot looks evened out. I think his 3ball will end up at 37%. -Something he started last year, but seems to be continuing is just finishing the right way through contact
One thing I'd add, is balance. He seems way more poised than last year. Tonight he finally tapped into that "I'm the ****ing man" energy he found at the end of last year again. Nobody else on the team can assert himself on the game superstar style in the same way Jalen can, and I 100% include Alpi in that "nobody."
I thought "old school stats" didn't matter any more and it's all "advanced" ones that count? For reference, he had a 58.8% TS% tonight.
Definitely buying now since it really showed, the only way to beat another superstar in this league is to have one of your own and Green played like it in the 4th tonight.
I have been impressed. In the first 2 games it was the much improved defence. Against the spurs he kept defending well bit took over in the 4th. That was an awful first half and Green was the main reason it ended up close.
