Reed has been playing great IMO. Tari's first 2 threes were asts from reed just being a natural PG.

Those two back 2 back threes from Reed off a screen is not regular rookie behavior.

you cant expect reed to put up Rookie of the year numbers with so many mouths to feed and in limited minutes

Reed (and Amen) coming in for Fred and the team not falling apart is all we need from reed.

I do wish Ime would use Reed more in the offense. but Ime doesn't have an offense sadly

Tjat was a big thing at Kentucky. Plus picking his dribble up and getting trapped but this kid will definitely figure it out. Dude is something special

Opponents are going to start worrying about driving against that unit through fear of being stripped for sure.

    1. He was fouled out in the pre-season game. That's just a fact. (not an opinion).

2, In the Edey thread months back, I gave projections that he'll be good for MEM. He's a good fit there. Lighting the world on fire means a rookie might do a wmeby/shaq rookie year type of numbers. There's degrees to credit and praises. Not sure why people have an issue with this.

    3. Edey was good in 1st half, but not great in the 2nd half. He had like 3 REB in the 2nd half, as Rockets ramped up on the boards (bari / sengun).

    Don't lump me as anti-Edey; I'm saying he's not a Shaq.

this kid need some seasoning in the g-league. Maybe he's not used to playing limited minutes compare to kentucky. He's just bricking and settling for 3's so far.

Nah, he doesn't really need any seasoning, but Udoka's dumb ass isn't going to play him, so he might as well get some time in the G League when it starts up.

It was one of the worst draft classes, expecting Shaq was and is unrealistic....so was and is
a Steph Curry or Mark Price.

More to production than just offense. Edey is 7'4" with great wingspan which does well
in a day when Jokic/Rudy Gobert/Embiid get to play drop coverage and be a tree near the rim.
    So can Edey.

Rookies rarely get the foul calls go their way. Often having to earn it over a year or so.
Sengun went through that as well.

It is a weak draft; so was not expecting shaq like performance; hence did not expect Edey to 'light the world on fire'. If you want, we can carry this over to an Edey thread.

I bought up Sarr/Risacher/Edey, because people were doubting Reed, all I said is that the other guys aren't playing like they're the next Wemby/Shaq, which honestly is not a hot take, not sure what your problem is.

Yeah i don't get your point.

Sengun fouled out of two games his rookie year. First 4 games averaged 17.6 minutes because of
foul problems. His fouls every game were 4 or 5 fouls, every game. So what?

Edey is just getting comfortable......he has an unblockable hook shot from 10 feet he
    will bring out later.

Did you watch that game? Edey fouled out in 15 minutes.

Edey could be fine as a NBA player, the context is not him as a center vs our centers. It's if he's already head and shoulder above the others in his 'weak' draft class including Reed, which right now he's not.

Anyways, we can bump an Edey thread if you just want to talk about Edey as a prospect.

Did you watch any of the games Sengun played his rookie year?

Half of Clutchfans were crying he needed more minutes, the other half said he
was almost fouling out every game in 18 minutes.

9 games he had 5 fouls.

A ton of the other games he had 4 fouls. (17 games)

You're taking lot of detours. Back to the original point, this being a Reed thread. Edey is a good prospect, but he's not head and shoulder above the likes of a Reed (or any of the other prospets like Castle), do you agree or disagree?

    Completely disagree

    Reed looks lousy to me.

Dude was advertised as some kind of sniper sharp shooter. 3 point shooting
sucked in summer league (minus 1st vs Lakers guarded by Bronny).
    Sucked in preseason.
Can't get his shot off here in the regular season.

Now folks are trying to cover for him. Stone, and the selection as some kind of
    wizard with the ball.

    You'll grasping at straws
