Mark Pope to Kentucky makes sense. There's only so much he could do at BYU and he did it. Now he can take his step up to a program like Kentucky and not be limited in his recruiting and how his team plays.

Now Kentucky will transition from a 1 and done school to a program that can develop players and have a more stable roster year to year

    Good hire. Solid coach

Kentucky fans aren’t happy, but it seems like they never really are

That's cause most kentucky fans are casuals and are used to 1 and dones. That's what they're used to and have only seen. They don't understand what sustaining a program and player development means where guys stay a couple years and get better

He made BYU watchable and respected in CBB. Like i said earlier he had limited resources there, which will now expand significantly at Kentucky. He played for Kentucky and was a captain. The fact that those casuals aren't happy is hilarious. He's literally one of there own

I have a lot of respect for Tony Bennett, but he made college basketball nearly unwatchable.

He's probably not wired for the NIL, TP and 12-month recruiting era college sports has entered. What's weird is he just signed a 5-year extension this summer.

This guy's coaching skills were off the charts. Hard to believe. Way too young.
