That’s just lazy basketball from Jalen. Jacking up threes isn’t, and shouldn’t ever be his game. I kinda blame Udoka for not reining that in a little more.

 

Collapse began in the final minutes of the 2nd quarter... 18-point lead slowly disintegrated into a loss.

Rockets can't rebound or shoot and we're not too young to be unable to close out a tight game, especially at home.

What a wasted opportunity.

I did not see the game but it looks like a bunch of bricks in the box score.

 

I would say that Jalen shot Charlotte back into the game just before the half. He gave them life but he played well overall. There was no reason to go full Kobe with off balance 3s when you're up 17.

 

Still feels like they are all playing their instruments to different songs. No harmony. Ime needs to conduct them and get a unified performance, especially to close.

 

I want green to attack the basket. That’s it. We spent all off-season with even his staunchest defenders saying it’s about shot selection. Giving up possessions on him chucking 3s sucks. It’s taking away from what he’s actually good at. I hoped he’d have figured that out by now because it seems painfully evident to everyone else.

idk how they're going to beat the grizzlies, but they need to figure it out.

 

At this point, the team is shackled to Jalen for this season and 3 more, they'll have to keep him happy, so I'm not sure they'll be able to "rein him in" all that much. We just need to hope he gets better.

With what? The paint was packed and Udoka doesn't have any plays to run. If they can't drive after their one simple screen the only thing left in the playbook is chucking. It's why it's all they ****ing did.

 

Poor shooting. Hard to win gams if you can’t make buckets. Fix the shooting and the Rockets take off.

Ah yeah it was crazy. Like Fred was shooting like he was on fire and he hadn't made a shot all game. The one guy I wanted to see shoot 15 threes didn't even look at the goal. (Reed)

Yep, Green has all the talent to be an elite guard.

All he needs to do is realize when his shot isn't falling and attack more. That's it. That's the only change he has to make to become a more efficient scorer.

 

That should have been one of the easiest games we'll see all year.

Opener at home against the Hornets missing 3 starters. Leading for 90% of the game. Lamelo showed what a real elite level talent looks like on the court. Had the Rockets scrambling and stumbling all over the place.

Ive seen all I need to see.
