It was, hands down, The Outlaw Josey Wales. He loved every Eastwood western, but Outlaw was by far his favorite. "Dyin' ain't much of a livin', boy." Loved "Unfogiven" as well. One of the few movies I saw with him in the theater. Just watched it this weekend. "It's a hell of a thing, killin' a man. You take away all he's got and everything he's ever gonna have."
Top Gun. That came out right when surround sound turned more mainstream. If they had a dinner party, he'd force everybody to watch the opening scene on his full home theater setup. He literally blew his speakers, twice.
We might be long lost brothers. My dad only watches Bond movies. Really the only movies he likes. And he knows ALL of them.
same here…..although I have to say he “wasn’t” a big movie buff. He was born in ‘19, and he passed almost two decades ago. I do recall though that if Patton ever came on, he was sure to watch.
One time my dad was like, BRO, you've GOT to see: Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia. Finally one day I start to watch it. I stopped watching after like 7minutes.
I asked my dad this the other day and he said "Lonesome Dove" which isn't really a movie but a TV series, so there you go. I know that he loved Dances With Wolves. His favorite thing to do now is binge on Netflix shows, lol.
