New season is out. This is a really good show if you haven’t seen it. Even if it doesn’t look like you were type of thing, watch a couple episodes and give it a chance.
Only the first episode, though. Wish I hadn't heard for a couple of weeks so I could binge 3 or 4 episodes. Jackson Lamb is my spirit animal.
E series ends. He claims that he’s going to retire when the series ends. Apple+ doesn’t want him going anywhere. They’ve already finished the 5th season. Oldman has said he’ll do Slow Horses as long as it’s produced. Loves the novels (written by Mick Herron, who also loves the series). Loves the cast. I seriously doubt that Oldman would actually retire, but that’s what he says.
in the first episode the "good guys" steal the contents of a journalists laptop without a warrant, like it was the most normal, sensible thing in the world to do very different mindset than in the US
Finished season four and it still delivers. Some really good action and a very good villain by Hugo Weaving. Although I keep on expecting him to say “Mr Anderson”. Not a fan though of these 6 episode seasons. These really don’t feel like seasons with resolution. It just feels like a half season.
I actually think he will retire. His life has been a lot harder than most will think. He has been married like a half dozen times and has said that acting caused 3-4 of his divorces because he struggles to stay engaged when traveling to make movies. He was going to retire when one of his wives accused him of assault and abuse and drugging his kids. Essentially he was forced to work to pay legal fees. Ultimately his kids denied the allegations and he got full custody but was broke and would work and take the red eye to see his kids and get them to school… he said it was really traumatic and he would retire when he financially could. His kids are college aged and he is remarried- and his situation is supposedly better, but only a few years ago he said that he needs the stability of a tv show or he is retiring to save his sanity and marriage. So I believe him when he says this is it. He lives in the USA but doesn’t socialize with Hollywood and doesn’t want to go to parties or see people. He lost leading roles because he wouldn’t go out with directors or producers. He is probably my favorite actor - him or Jonathan Rhys Meyers.
Yes. Season three really ramps up the action and season four has the best villain. they are only 6 episode season so in this dens you don’t have to get too invested in the season.
