I often hear them using the word “white trash”

attaching trash to a race is so discriminatory

Is it racist or classist to point out that Trump does well with non-college educated white males, particularly in rural areas? Or are those just facts?

If you think non-college educated white males in rural areas are a lesser demographic than some other group, that would be racist, sexist, and elitist.

You posted the fact that white, rural, males who didnt go to college support trump. If you think thats a knock on trump, then you are wrong and have some harmful biases you need to sort out.

The real knock on Trump is the number of people from his own party and former officials from his administration who don’t support him. Not his support among white working class voters.

If you think non-college educated white males in rural areas are a greater demographic than some other group, that would be rational thinking at it finest ... or maybe not thinking at all ... just recognizing what is truly exceptional that can never be denied.

Yes, I've noticed it. In careless moments in 2016, I might have dismissed Trumpers like that. I have since then come to realize that the party realignment that Trump catalyzed is toward a populist vs elite dynamic so there is something fundamentally classist about the political clash. My younger self would have thought I'd be on the side of the populists, but here am I an elitist. I don't want to denigrate anyone by their class even if I am very critical of their ideas. But sure, many other people who are likeminded are less careful about using classist language. On this bbs, I don't see that so much as more ideological name-calling ("MAGAts" being the one that stands out to me, which I also really hate because it dehumanizes the target by comparing them to maggots -- just like Trump would do).

There is, in fact, a lot of name-calling and othering going both directions. I think the populists get the brunt of the classism, but the elites get more of the racism in variations on the ******-lover theme because of DEI, scruples about immigration or hate crimes, etc. People should behave better, but we should also know we won't. So, what's the point of this thread? People are mean? I know.

These are the types of angles I feel like foreign bots use to create divisions.

"The true racists are the people who don't like Trump and his supporters". That's Russian bot energy

Calling everyone of the opposing party a racist, homophobic nazi is doing all the division necessary.

No foreign bots necessary. You've got it covered.

“I go back and forth between thinking Trump is a cynical a**hole like Nixon who wouldn’t be that bad (and might even prove useful) or that he’s America’s Hitler. How’s that for discouraging?” - JD vance

"“whether we like it or not, the party of lower-income, lower-education white people,” and argued “Trump is the fruit of the party’s collective neglect.” - also JD vance

When will people who support Trump take on the personal accountability and responsibility of supporting a man who turns every question about policy into a rant about migrants and spreads blood libel about immigrants stealing pets and eating them?

You support that you are racist. It's not that complicated.

You know what. Let's start with the candidate himself. Do you think Donald Trump is a racist?

Do you think someone who calls illegal immigrant jobs that pay below min wage and are almost all physical labor jobs as "Black Jobs" racist?

I just want a to test how unhinged you are.

He's saying thinking people are white trash is a racist

    @LosPollosHermanos

The only criticism of Trump is that they believe anything he says. So the insult is that they're gullible
