Exactly, it was a stupid play call but CJ shouldn’t have thrown that anyway. I rather him just fall down and take a sack then do that. It’s just a dumb team overall
So I mean, Doubs didn’t catch that pass. It was clearly an incompletion. Don’t know that it changes the game but the referees have been abominable this year. This is worse than replacement refs. It’s completely inexcusable, they didn’t even review it. Absolutely pathetic showing by the offense and especially CJ. This team isn’t good enough yet. Demeco consistently gets outcoached by legit offensive minds and CJ can’t handle certain defenses. This should have been a win and we were timid and predictable the entire second half and especially in the last 3 minutes. Hopefully it’s a lesson learned.
We're still at the moral victory level. The hope is that this coaching staff is only stupid when hamstrung with bad players. Maybe when we're fully healthy, the play-calling and designs will work better.
Just stupid. If they were going to run out the clock then do that lol. Instead they accomplished nothing with that last drive but basically set up GB to win the game on a FG. They had the option to run clock or try to actually score a TD and ended up doing neither.
Not running the ball on the 3rd down and leaving them with a TO changed everything on their final drive...smh
Soft coverage until the 50 yard line. Then Demeco doesn’t use timeouts while in field goal range. Baffling coaching. We’re lucky that Jordan Love is a turnover magnet or this would have been a blowout. FYI, the defense is legit. I think Demeco late game failed the team but for me, Slowik looked so unprepared this game that it’s baffling. CJ had no chance.
No the offense and play calling was horrendous. Questionable block management. Running 2 times in the redzone for negative yardage then to throw a ln incomplete pass to the side lines to stop the clock..... Dumb dumb dumb. The defense didn't lose this game.
Defense played well... OC sucked.. couldn't call plays to get out of a shot gun house with 4 exits... T_Man
So, he’s definitely right about Demeco needing to straighten things up. He’s been pretty poor on multiple occasions with his attention to detail. Challenging, situational football. The colts game comes to mind. This one was pretty bad. I love demeco but I expect more from him. Unfortunately I think him calling the defense takes away from his ability to be a hawk with situational details.
