The time to win is now and just because you sign and trade for 3 guys doesn't mean you can't keep developing guys. My point is this team can win a couple of more championships with two or three right moves. The young guys down in the minors aren't ready yet. Why don't you trust Dana's ability to trade, sign players? You should either believe that Dana's the man for the job or not. BTW, you didn't answer my question about which would you be more comfortable with in a playoff series? Plus with all of the changes in the development staff, how players are developed is still up in the air.
I trust Dana's drafting and developing more than signing/trading. And someone that came up in the Astros way in the minors are more likely to execute it in the bigs. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses and comparative advantages. I would trust the younger players that are in the Astros culture more.
I trust if they need to go out and get a guy like say JV they will. However I get where you're coming from because the Stros position players are all homegrown. However the well has run dry of impact next year position player prospects and with the pitching they have they're well within their championship window. They're going to have to make smart fa, trades to remain a contender. After seeing Dana trade for Kikuchi, I've got faith in his ability to keep the window open
We hate on unethical behavior, and in the case Fertitta, mob connections and mid level, gimmicky food
As far as I know Elon is very ethical, pays well and expects you to work hard for your money. If you're not willing to work hard then you can't work for him Same with Tillman. I haven't heard of anything Tillman's done that's been unethical. Although we all know where his startup money came from.
