To be fair, all of the "guys like sengun" have failed completely in the playoffs. Sabonis has been worthless because he can't shoot. I expect Sengun to be better in the long run but he's not as good as sabonis yet who i consider to be basically worthless if your goal is to win in the playoffs. Guys like Vucevic were also completely useless in the playoffs, even when he was in his prime. Clutch doesn't believe Sengun can be a superstar, and even if he's our best player this year i generally agree with that premise. Also, even if Clutch is wrong, who cares? You're welcome to leave anytime you want.
After seeing mainstream news sources from both the left and the right for years, one thing is clear. You can be 100% factual and still are egregiously biased. It's what facts you choose to report and not to report that show your bias.
Also if you thought what you posted had no significance (which is actually the case), you wouldn't post it. So you are saying there is something to deduce from here.
FYI that guy steals comments from here rewrites them and posts them as tweets. This is the second time I’ve seen him do it in the last week or so.
I don't mind, I just don't want to be banned because someone else I don't know writes rude stuff on Twitter lol.
I don't mind it as long as it's within reason, you just can't compare Alltime Greats to an AAU baller who just realized recently he can do more than just score a lick.
What seperates Sengun from likes of Vucevic and Sabonis is crystal clear for the ball knowers. Sengun can make the toughest shots, is clutch and he has heart. Sabonis a known b**** who doesn't rise to the occassion. Sengun actually performs significantly better under the spotlights and when the competition gets tougher. He doesn't shy away from attacking their best man even in the last possession when the game is on the line while Sabonis actively avoids it the whole game. B.bbut Sengun is also a bad defender like Sabonis soo.. is a 89 iq argument. It reduces his entire quality to a single aspect of the game treating it as a bottleneck that limits his overall value. Once some of you recognize that despite his defensive shortcomings he remains our most important weapon in the playoffs we will start making progress.
How is sabonis known as a b****? What the hell are you talking about? Idk where all this clutch and heart and all that nonsense is coming from considering sengun has played 0 playoff games. Just pure speculation, nothing based on facts. I agree he’s our best offensive weapon by a mile though, no doubt about that to me. The gap between that and being a legit franchise guy is a million miles though.
Alpe dominated Wemby when nobody could but yeah we need more Playoff data but to suggest his ceiling is Sabonis is too early as well. Maybe he can come close to Arvydas than Domantas.
NBA.com is the official source of ORtg and DRtg. Anything different (as in the case of bb-reference) is often doing an estimate of possessions from the boxscore for historical reasons that pre-date the Play-by-Play stats era, and they usually say so, if they do an estimate. I have no idea what realgm did to be so off. Maybe it’s a different definition of ORtg/DRtg?? Their glossary seems to indicate it’s a different definition. The reason NBA.com is the official stat is because they are also the official scorekeeper and thus maker of the official play-by-play. Only with the official PbP can you create possession-based stats, bc it is the only way to determine possessions, as defined by such stats as ORtg and DRtg. Most other stats sites actually use the programmable API of the pbp that the NBA provides.
What is this? Everybody knows that Sengun is clutch and Sabonis doesn't have the heart. Looney literally made him his b**** in the playoff and Sabonis stopped attacking to the rim when they needed him to attack. He literally kept passing the ball.
Nobody has said his ceiling is sabonis. If he’s not better than sabonis that’s a disaster and he should be moved asap
