My prediction -- Cards and the Red Sox in the series. Toss up between who wins.

Cardinals are for real baby! I have a sneaking feeling that the Yankees might get upset by the twins.

Does Joe Buck ever shut up? There's no reason to talk non-stop - sometimes the game speaks for itself.

What a perfect day - Red Sox win, Yankees lose, and I got me one of the best driving machines out there.

I guess I should have done my predictions, but I am afraid of jinxing my team.

I will say this, though, even though the Yankees lost last night, I still see them (unfortunately) winning that series. Boston over Anaheim, Cardinals over the Dodgers, and the Astros over the Braves.

Then like yipengzhao, I see the Sox playing the Cardinals in the Series with the.....Cardinals winning it all.:( :p ;)

For some strange reason, I believe this year's WS will pit the Astros vs. the Red Sox. I have no hard evidence...just a gut feeling. I hope I'm right.

Why isn't the "Official Baseball Playoffs Thread" in the Astros forum, with the rest of the Baseball Playoffs Threads?

    :)

PLLLLEAASSSE be true....we owe them for 86 as it should have been a Big Can of Orange Whoop-Ass opened up on the hapless Sox...but we just HAD to blow it to the Mets....

And they would play to a tie! The "curse of the World Series" world series!

Sox and 'Stros in the series.

Roger Clemens kills Boston once again.

Astros are your major league baseball world champions for 2004.

Astros lose today (10/6), then go on to win the WS.

WHY keep Joe Nathan in there for that long? Once he allowed the baserunner, you should yank him.....Damnit, twins coulda been up 2-0

    The Twins manager is a F***ING r****d!

A closer should never go past 2 innings. They gave that game away...STUPID!

He did used to be a starter so there was a tiny bit of precedent but I'm "sure" we all would have yanked him.

Once again, an opposing AL manager that is going against the Yankees suffers a brain freeze (hello Grady Little! ).

I like what one member of this BBS was calling Gardenhire in chat last night, "Gardenidiot". But my nickname of "GardenFIRE", I thought was clever.

Anyway, I still think the Twins are in good shape. Obviously they have to win at least 1 in Minnesota or they're gone. But having to face Santana again whether it is game 4 or game 5 cannot be a fun thought for the Yankees and their fans.

Meanwhile, like an idiot, I stayed up past 1 in the morning (central time) to watch the entire Boston game and then got up 30 minutes ago. I am going to be so wiped out today at work.:(

    But it was worth it.
