Actually, I do not think it is the first time. I remember a Sunday back sometime in the 80's when it happened.

yao lppked like an over sized gumby bendable when he got here, Sure that;s not his evil twin who won the egg roll eating contest?

"if Yao Ming scores over 19 points this season I'll kiss kenny smiths ass." or something like that.

Man, that seems like a dream,.......or is the Dream just starting again ?

Yao the tao of truth. Juwann, no flopping here!

I read this article and believe I understand why JVG works better with older, hungrier guys. The youth are just not ready to 'get it', IMO.

How could the Astros and Oilers both play in Houston on the same day?? They both played in the dome.

Yes, you're right. I missed the "IN" Houston. The day I am remembering, all three teams played, but either the Oilers or Astros were out of town.

    On October 12, 1980:

The Astros played in game 5 of the NLCS in the Dome.

The Rockets played the Lakers at the Summit.

But the Oilers played at Kansas City.

Don't ask me why I felt compelled to look this up.

Dampier and Ratliff give Yao trouble as well.

No, I don't remember them being NEARLY as effusive.... How could they without it reflecting poorly on Rudy?

I'm excited that our new players are excited, but I didn't hear a single word about offense, or JVG's knack or lack there of.
