I am single so I spend about $75.00 a week but I typically eat out for lunch and cook maybe half the time for dinner and do delivery the rest of the time. I have my go to`s that I eat every week because I suck at cooking, and I am lazy. My fridge consists mostly of Water and G2 Grape

    Kraft Mac and Cheese
    Steak on the grill
    Spaghetti
    Tacos
Lots of PBJ and Ham and Cheese on the weekends and Capn Crunch for breakfast

I'm sure you can still get something for that much. Go check out what stores they got at Harry Hines area in Dallas.

I don't track my food spending because 1) I don't do the shopping and 2) Grocery spend is a tiny fraction of my overall spending. However, I can tell you that the #1 reason why food is so expensive is because of excessive government spending. This has led the Fed to increase the amount of currency in circulation by 60% over the last 4+ years. With prices denominated in dollars, OF COURSE the number of dollars needed to buy a given good/service has gone way up. It's really that simple.

Food prices don't hurt me -- I'm fine. What pains me is that high food prices sting the lower classes the most -- including many black single mothers.

    US Economy Reaches Superstar Status

If the United States’ economy were an athlete, right now it would be peak LeBron James. If it were a pop star, it would be peak Taylor Swift. Four years ago, the pandemic temporarily brought much of the world economy to a halt. Since then, America’s economic performance has left other countries in the dust and even broken some of its own records. The growth rate is high, the unemployment rate is at historic lows, household wealth is surging, and wages are rising faster than costs, especially for the working class. There are many ways to define a good economy. America is in tremendous shape according to just about any of them.

So based on gdp growth, low unemployment, and household wealth growing, the economy only looks like it's doing well?

How about posting your data instead of stupid ass analogies

Yes, the economy is doing amazing. You know ,
Just look at the stock market. GDP growth woot! But let’s also ignore the first time in history the interest on our deficit exceeds what we project to collect in taxes and will be spiraling into a never ending black hole of debt.

but yea man, the stock market. ATH and moons.

Yea if you’re a ****ing idiot you can choose to see it a different way

There certainly are problems with our economy and higher prices are one but the economy isn’t terrible and is doing well historically and compared to other countries.

If you look though at which party has the better platform to deal with the problems of the economy most economists say that the Trump
Platform not only won’t fix things but make things like inflation and the deficit much worse.

Are you imagining things or do you usually have trouble stringing simple logic together. I’m going to step down on level stupid for a second, somehow you think throwing stuff at the S&P 500 or a mutual fund requires a lot of intelligence, and somehow though the vast majority of Americans don’t participate, it is reflective on the current state of our Economy despite a deficit we can’t even pay the interest on anymore (starting this year), furthermore somehow linked to say I do throw $$$ at the S&P 500 and vanguard but am automatically disqualified from checking the reality of how the average American is doing

I find this just plain wrong, what are we in the 1900`s bribing people off the boats to go vote for our candidate? You can pay someone to secure their vote but I cant hand out bottled water to a voter standing in line waiting to vote..........IMO this is about as Un Amercian as you get when it comes to voting and campaigning.

It was $47. If $100 is worthless, sheeee...
Then he increasd to $75. Sheeee...
    Now $100. Gettting close...

If I'm the Harris campaign, I would help Musk reach his goal of collecting voter data from 1 million registered voters among the swing states. In fact, I would aim higher. ;)
