Why didn't Tari play? Is he already hurt again?

 

Anyone else annoyed by the light green glare on the court from the new billboard?

 

probably easing him back in, I feel like they never explained how injured he really was. It’s a concern for sure.

Its not a concern they are just easing him back in. He was the only one who actually had major surgery last year.

 

After rewatching the game I think barring injuries Rockets are gonna surprise a lot of people especially with the strength of our starters.

*Rox are running a faster paced offense than last year, this maximizes our athletic players like JG, Amen and Cam and at the same time allows them to score easier because the defense doesnt have time to set up.

*Sengun has been able to adjust to this faster pace, showing that him and JG don't have an issue co-existing. Sengun has also beasted every game, Pells double teamed him almost every possession he still put up big stats.

*The faster pace means players have to play harder on the court I notice guys were hauling ass and chasing people everywhere. This is to our advantage though cuz Udoka can have 13 good players on the court including Jeff Green and Jock Landale. We have the depth and can try to wear opponents down.

*The Rockets starters have some really good chemistry esp between JG, Sengun and FVV. Brooks and Jabari are good complementary players esp with limited minutes they can go all out and then get some rest to let Eason, Adams, Amen and RS take over.

*Udoka has to be tighter on the leash with our depth if a guy isnt feeling it he should give other players a shot. Theres no way all our players will be ice cold Udoka just has to find the hot hand every given night.

*His shot left him but FVV has better playmaking, making quicker decisions instead of dribbling the air out of the ball for 15 secs. Once he adjusts watch out.

*Speaking of Sengun did you guys know he is shooting 90% from ft line and has 75% TS in the preseason? Dude is quietly making the all star leap IMO.

*JG our 2nd most important player is still inconsistent when it comes to shooting but at least Star Jalen shows up 50% of the time instead of just the last 2 mos of the season. Thats huge imo and he can work on that consistency.

*Reed Sheppard has shown everything but the 3 pt shooting everyone and mother claimed he had before the draft. I told y'all NBA is different from NCAA but you guys won't believe me. If RS can hit 40% from 3 that will already be a major help, thinking he can beat Curry just cuz he shot 50% in college is fool's gold.

I have this team winning 45-50 games this year I am very high on them.

Glad people are seeing through the flash with Cam. I hope he has a short leech and rather we give Reed time.

 

The goal is to make the play-in or somewhere in the 5-10 seed this year which is definitely attainable with GSW/Lakers/Clippers/Wolves/Nuggets all getting worse. The Mavs/Thunder/Suns/Grizz all got better though. That being said, I don't see Ime tinkering with the starting lineup until a trade is potentially made later on in the season.

The Thunder are good because SGA ascended into superstardom and Jalen Williams is an All-Star level player. The Rockets need someone to ascend and soon. Reed is looking right now the most likely candidate (not counting Sengun who is there already) but can he or Sengun be a Top 10 player in the league? We'll find out with Sengun this year. He will need to average something like 25/10/6 and 80% at the FT line. Jokic in his first superstar year was 26/11/8 and shot 39% from 3.

 

Yeah because he already completed his rehab. He could play normal minutes he already played in the non nba SL a couple months ago.

 

It was a concern even last year. A lot of people were just too hyper focused on trashing Jalen Green.

Still many seem to be clamoring for Cam to replace Green on a daily basis.

 

My brother went to the game and said they added huge screens everywhere including directly above the court. Anyone in the lower seats can see the screen looking directly up. That's probably what that is.

 

You missed a golden oppurtunity here by overlooking "$cam Sh1tWh0re" as his name when he plays bad.

I'll overlook it now since its preseason but you have to step up your game when the season starts. You're a respected, veteran poster and Clutchfans.net expects more from you moving forward.

That being said, the 3 bedroom house metaphor from the bricks was particularly inspired. You'll get there, we all have a little rust to shake off from the offseason...

Reed has a much higher chance of that as he's a lot more polished as a player than Cam.

Cam has a lot of development to do. Out of all the players we drafted the past 4 years outside of guys like Garuba, Christopher, Washington who are no longer part of the team Cam is the rawest prospect
