If you can get a 6th round pick you’d be lucky.

    Just fantasizing for a moment.

Jets trade Sauce to Texans. I don't know how, but NYJ are in a tailspin and acquiring Adams only solves one of their problems. Sorry. I was just going through impact CBs on sub par teams.

Sounds like he might be out as long as Nico

If Cleveland is really having a fire sale, we should go after Denzel Ward or Greg Newsome.

When Lassiter returns, he can move to Nickel.

Cleveland might not want to trade with us, though.

Denzel recently signed a big contract. Doubt we would tie up the cap space considering our own FA up for extensions. Newsome is definitely a solid choice. He’s still on his rookie deal plus 5th year option and maybe we can dangle a possibility of playing on a winning team with a chance to be coached by Demeco. In doing so he could get that coveted ‘bag’ by other teams should he play well for us. We could probably get him for a day three pick considering he’s been playing sub par this season.

A safety would be nice. Justin Simmons available?

Goofing around Payne asked BDN to go get a defensive back. Nick gave a serious response like we will check on anything that's available, followed it up by saying Seth and his twitter followers can take the credit afterwards lol.

It would have to be an older CB that won't gripe when Lassiter is back and takes 100% of the snaps because that's how we roll. A Jonathan Jones type. 31.

Thanks for that. I only looked at Greg Newsome's contract and didn't realize Ward's contract extension.

No way Prime is letting his precious little boy go to the Browns. The situation and organization is a clusterduck.

On a side note, Florio (yeah I know) brought up a hypothetical on a future lawsuit the NCAA might get smacked with and it involves players with eligibility remaining who want to return to college if they don’t wanna go to the team that drafted them. Interesting hypothesis, the player, not the team or an agent, would have to foot the bill for all that combine team private meetings to stay eligible. Shakur is a candidate for such a case. Daddy has the money and connections to nfl people. If the Browns pick him and Shedur’s daddy can’t get them to trade his precious little boy then he might go back to college. If the NCAA won’t allow it then Prime sues.

Dam it!! I know every team has injuries but these 2 hurt, I love Jimmy W but the dude misses way too many games with injuries...........any sighting of Simmons down on Kirby :D

The Browns are ripe for the picking for a CB, that team is a dumpster fire

    4-6 week injury typically...

I think an acquisition is on the horizon - maybe the GBP game opens some eyes or maybe the Texans survive the game.

Regardless, 4-6 weeks is too long and more injuries will pop up in the secondary.

Sign me up for this. Nolen will be a difference maker. Draft a CB in the 2nd rd. This draft is deep at CB/DT. Trade up for Stutsman in the 2nd in addition to Nolen and say J. Barron.

    RD. 1 Nolen
    RD. 2 Stutsman
    RD. 2 Barron

The holes on the defense have been fixed in one draft with play makers.
