Thank you for this article. Glad to see those committing crimes arrested. And, that there were no truck loads of militia after all. Amiga brought some clarity. But, no I wasn't blaming FEMA. I was blaming the news reporting for telling a story that didn't add up. I suspect (don't know) that FEMA wasn't so much evacuating the county as they were changing their strategy on how they would interact with the public given local distrust, and to do that they had to pull back and then redeploy their people. But the article treated it like an emergency evacuation and not a redeployment. So I don't blame FEMA (except maybe how they handle the media) or the distrusting locals. I think, ironically, these articles about misinformation were themselves misinformation. They reported on unsubstantiated rumor of truckloads of militia, and people think things are getting crazy in NC. And we come to later find out it was one guy.
