Just a reminder this is who Trump has pardoned. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/10/14/...pient-new-charges.html?searchResultPosition=1 Another Trump Clemency Recipient Faces Domestic Violence-Related Charges Philip Esformes is at least the seventh person to be charged with new crimes after receiving a second chance in the last days of the Trump administration. A Florida man who received a commutation of a 20-year fraud sentence from President Donald J. Trump in 2020 — only to plead guilty this year to a related crime — was arrested on Sunday on domestic violence-related charges in South Florida. The man, Philip Esformes, was charged with two felony counts that could result in jail time and fines if he were convicted, according to a public records database maintained by Miami-Dade County. Mr. Esformes is at least the seventh person granted clemency by Mr. Trump who has been charged with new crimes after receiving a second chance, according to a New York Times analysis. Mr. Esformes is also the third known recipient of a clemency grant from Mr. Trump to be charged with a domestic violence-related offense. ... Mr. Esformes owned more than 30 Miami-area nursing homes and assisted-living centers in 2016, when he was charged in connection with a two-decade scheme that involved an estimated $1.3 billion worth of fraudulent claims to Medicare and Medicaid. The Justice Department called it the largest health care fraud scheme ever charged. He was convicted and sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2019. His prison term ended suddenly in December 2020 — when Mr. Trump, during his final days in office, commuted what remained of Mr. Esformes’s sentence. In a statement announcing the commutation, the White House claimed that in prison, Mr. Esformes had been “in declining health” and “had been devoted to prayer and repentance.” His path to a commutation was emblematic of the unusual way Mr. Trump administered executive clemency, which is among the most unilateral, unchecked powers of the Oval Office. Mr. Trump largely bypassed a Justice Department system set up to identify and vet worthy recipients of commutations, which reduce or eliminate prison sentences, and pardons, which wipe conviction records. Instead, Mr. Trump relied on recommendations from a relatively small circle of allies and supporters. More at link.
Like I said it's not worth the time engaging with you. You're the oddball calling out AI posts and weather control...lol.
Again, can't say I'm wrong just that I "called it out" lol yet you're over here talking about people's skin color.
You searched my post history, cobbled up a hot mess of different posts to different folks and what do you want, a cookie?
What the hell is this ****. If Biden had danced and swayed to music at a rally for 2 minutes people would say he had lost it. Yet Trump does this for over 30 minutes at one of his rallies. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/10/14/trump-music-sways-town-hall/
Someone might have already posted this here. This would have tanked any other campaign, but for Trump, it’s just another day. Trump said he would use the military against enemies from within (radical left lunatics) and specifically called out elected representative Adam Schiff by name. Just imagine for a sec if Harris said something similar -- that she would use the military against enemies from within (radical right lunatics) and specifically called out elected representative Mike Johnson.
Townhall. He took some questions (his answers were all over the place as usual). Then, he decided to stop taking questions, just listened to music and danced. Then he closed it by saying, this is the most important election ever and reminded people to vote on Jan 5. Now, that's just him misspeaking, like Biden sometimes does. But the break in taking questions at a townhall to dance was weird.
Is this true? Did he really provide a bus there so his crowd would appear larger, and then just leave them high and dry?
Yep. He bussed them into the area for the rally. I believe it was 5 miles. Then told them to get bent when they needed to get back to their cars.
He isn't making a sacrifice to be President - he desperately wants to be President. He has a huge ego and desire for adulation. Having said that, I don't care if he plays golf often and I don't care that he overcharges the Secret Service or cost the taxpayers $150,000,000 playing golf. I do care about the extreme damage he has done to government institutions. He is a poor candidate - that is fortunate to be running during a period where another Republican nominee would be 5% ahead in national polling and have an electoral landslide.
The bus company refused to due the return trip after repeated attempts to get payment from Team Trump.
Not so much a political take on my end BUT, if this administration has taught us anything this last year. It is a President does not need to be behind the desk in the Oval Office 24/7. I'm sure if Biden had an emergency while he was at the beach or wherever it would reach him immediately. I suspect the same applies for Donald on the golf course or at Diddy's house or in his makeup room.
Only if the economy is absolutely booming and typically marginalized groups are seeing their lowest unemployment rates in decades, and if the world stage is relatively quiet after years of turmoil (and even more once he left office). But how much time should a president take off anyway? What's the acceptable amount of taxpayer dollars to spend on it? Because every president since Eisenhower has spent significant time away from the White House. Somehow it never made or broke their legacies.
This is true for both GOP/Dem POTUS. What this election really comes down to is if you want the USA to model San Fransisco then you should vote for Harris. If you dont like the San Fransisci model then you should vote for Trump. I dont understand why Trump isn't making this case during his campaign.
