But you didn't make this case at all. To say two players are of a similar calibre requires some thoughtful comparisons and way more info. What you did was randomly stretch only their box stats in exactly the way that suits your argument. Jaymichael Green has never earned 36 minutes from even a bad team in his life so that's a hollow hypothetical. To call this an exercise in determining whether players are of a similar calibre is kind of ridiculous.
He too had offensive limitations and moreso than Bari. Couldn’t execute a proper dribble drive from the corner 3 when his man ran him off the line or when wide open smh
I don’t get it. He hasn’t even played one NBA regular season game yet but you have crowned him better than Bari, a player who has demonstrated he can perform at a high level and be a serviceable role player thru 2 seasons?
Trevor Ariza sure cant Guard Klay Thompson or Kevin Durant. Wasn't Trevor Ariza 0-9 from 3, 0-12 from the Field in missing those 27 Threes.
can be. Potentially. The fact is he has not played one NBA game yet. He also has the potential to be irrelevant. In no way is he better than Bari at this point.
lol Salaun was 1-10 from 3 during summer league. I think there's a better chance he spends time in the G League this season than forming a great duo with Salaun. Of course, I could be wrong, and he does have a lot of potential, but he is very, very raw.
In reality, you cannot hold every player / position to the same standard. Guards are generally better shooters from distance in general than bigs - Lets compare apples to apples. He (Jabari) was above average per his position by 6 tenths. For 2023/24 the average 3 point percentage by position is as follows: Point Guard - 37.2 Shooting Guard - 37.1 Small Forward - 36.2 Power Forward - 35.7 Center - 35.1 https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/nba-league-average-3-point-percentage-by-position-in-2024
Not to mention he takes almost twice as many threes as the average PF. The average PF attempts 2.7 3s per game, whereas Bari attempts 5. Considering his age, position, and attempts, Bari is obviously a very good 3 point shooter.
Is Thon Maker on the roster? Anyone have a take on him? Over the years I've seen flashes of him looking all-world, but his career stats are mediocre. Don't know what to think about Thon Maker at Jabari's position...
