I stay away from that stuff nowadays, but do like their turkey sandwich thing even though most of that stuff is way overpriced. And even the turkey sandwich is hit or miss in terms of if it's dry or not. This brings up an issue of mine with Buc-ee's. I would never buy a painting that's been hanging around a bathroom collecting doodie particles for months. Just needed to let that out. It always blew my mind when I found out there are more 7-11's in Japan than in the US (and they've been Japanese-owned for a while now). I was reading a few months ago that they were trying bring a lot of the Japanese-style 7-11's to the US. Had no idea they were all over the planet in multiple countries, too.
Yeah, I think the tiny one I went to was in the Sienna area. I drove up and was like "this is it?". Like I said... disappointing. I still need to go up to the one in Katy for that crazy long carwash. lol.
They recently opened one at the highway/county road intersection leading to one of my places. It is always clean, and their prepared sub sandwiches are excellent. Their hot food looks good too, I've just never had any. And if you sign up for their "rewards program" you get a discount on gas that makes the price competitive with the cheapest places (HEB/Walmart)
Probably the Richmond / Rosenberg one. I drove up to that one once when I was in Rosenberg and was surprised to find a normal sized gas station.
Hiroshima - bombed to hell and back Fukushima - radiated to hell and back Naoshima - population consistently declining Man, GTFO - not a damn good thing happenin in a shima. At least Luling has some good bbq. What's Naoshima got? I do like munching on those little crunchy, spicy, seasoned small crabs in bags, though.
Maybe that was it. Or one in Pearland. I can't remember since I was driving all over the place. I just looked at the one in Alvin and that thing is tiny - it probably shouldn't count as a Buc-ee's. Nolan Ryan should be ashamed.
There is one that appears to be somewhat bigger than that in Eagle Lake which is between Rosenberg and Hallettsville (South of Schulenburg). in less traveled locations, there isn't going to be enough traffic to support a Jumbo Sized Buc-ee's. Going forward, they might have made a Corporate decision to focus on opening Jumbo Sized Buc-ee's and refrain from opening too many small Buc-ee's.
This is a weird one- I think it is pre-mega-Buccees and may have even opened in an older gas station building.

Now I don't remember if the first Buccee's I encountered was luling or Seguin. It must have been luling
Heading to the property this Thursday for the weekend. Gonna hit up their Thursday night catfish dinner. Then Saturday go for steak night. Don’t know if you’ve had their catfish but it’s good too. They also have a little breakfast/lunch place right down the road that has great sandwiches and burgers
