    i watch the show regularly, and while they do spend more time bashing this administration, they do a pretty good job of getting their licks in on Kerry and his gang too.

    They bash both sides, they're just more focused on whoever is in office as the time.

    they bash bush and the right, because the right is in power - they still swipe at the left and were all over Clinton when he was in power.

    as I have said many times, the show is not a left-wing show. Stewart's issues are more with the media than the parties. He acknowledges that the policitcal process has its quirks, TDS is more taking shots at the media for not (what he calls) protecting the interests of the viewers.

    For example when one party says something about the other, the news will get one representative from each side to give 2 mins of sound bytes and then move on the next topic. He believes (as I do as well) - that this is a disservice, and that news programs should have facts available to offer real questions (to both sides) about issues.

    The news media (on both sides) is lazy and mostly pettles gossip - which is why his show is so successful at making fun of that
