Id like to see it as
    Sengun/Adams/Jock
    Smith/Eason
    Amen/Brooks
    Green/Cam/Reed
FVV/with both amen and Reed getting back up min.

Jabari smith needs to be benched if he has slow season. I don’t care if his confidence takes a dive but we can’t play Sengun and Smith as our bigs. I think for now Tari should play PF. FVV/Green/Brooks/Tari/Sengun. Bench should be Reed/cam/Amen/Bari/Landale.

he is a less skilled hedo turkoglu who can play1to4 and 5 against smaller ve centers on O and D. There are only a bunch of players(magic, luka, hedo etc.6-9 6-10 big guards) to compare he has got his own catagory

With everyone taking stabs at each other I honestly don't know if you're serious or joking lol

In case you genuinely misunderstood, I was talking about Sengun!

Iggy, Giannis, Draymond none of them shot as poorly as Amen and yet folks are naming them as reasonable expectations for his shot progression. I think to ever become a regular starter on a good team he needs to be elite at almost everything else, Dennis Rodman elite, cause this jumper it ain't coming. Though I will say I would love to be wrong here.

Did you see Tari last game? They were both terrible. It’s a couple of pre-season games. Relax. Jabari had a good sophomore season and improved at all aspects of his game, but throw that fact out since he didn’t meet your expectations in 2 pre-season games, one against one of the best defensive teams and no. 1 seed in the West.

People keep calling for Tari to start over Bari and I seriously don't get it. Bari is a perfect complement to Sengun, and Tari has done nothing to earn the starting spot.

It’s the Pat Beverly syndrome. Fans love guys that hustle all the time. I do too, but it has to be controlled kaos (oxymoron I know) to work. Tari has tremendous heart and has the skills to succeed, but he is still raw and uncontrolled. He is not ready to start. Jabari proved he belonged as an NBA starter last year. It is all confidence with him and accepting his role as a 3-d player instead of trying to become a one on one player which I doubt he will ever become.

Tari has been the better player. Jabari is starting because of what he will become (he might already be there, but we haven't seen it in the regular season), not what he has been. While Jabari's offense is better than Tari's, Tari's defense has fit better with Sengun in the past.

Earning is something only that can be done in the past. If earning a spot is required, Jabari has earned it less than Tari. Though, Amen has earned it even more, IMO.

Tari is not the better player. His TS% is atrocious. His 3 shot is spotty. He's smaller and does not have the defensive versatility of Bari. His current role is perfect: an bench energy guy.

His TS% is atrocious. His 3 point shot is slow. Spotty? That implies inefficient. Tari's 3pt percentage has been better for his career than Jabari's.

On defensive versatility, while Tari isn't Amen level on POA defense, Tari is okay at POA defense. Jabari has promise to be even better at POA than Tari, but I wouldn't think either one has separted themselvesd as POA defenders from each other. What Tari excels at is the more important help defense. He disrupts the other team's offense.

Tari was hurt last year. Also, Ime wants to win both short term and long term. Long term, Ime knows Jabari will likely be better than Tari (Jabari has a lot of potential). Like Green, Ime played Jabari a lot as Ime wanted Jabari ready for the postseason. If the Rockets were to make the postseason last season, it would have likely been through midseason improvements in Green, Sengun, and Jabari. Jabari was improving a lot until he got banged up. He was just getting back to where he was when Sengun went down. Jabari did not handle getting banged on by centers well though Green and Amen had a field day with the space.

Don't confuse what will be for what is. Jabari is on track to be a lot better than Tari. It might be this year that Jabari passes Tari.

He is outstanding in most ways, but can't make a jumper. I just don't see how you survive in the NBA with athleticism alone.

There's roles for guys like that if they can do other things, but it'll always limit their potential.

Guys like Andre Iguodala and Draymond could never really shoot.... which is okay for certain types of forwards.... it's never okay for ANY guard.

The weirdest bit is that someone can love bball so much and not really care about scoring. What does he love about it?
