Al Iverson proved in Game 1 just how amazing he is, with plays that made my jaw drop.

Yet, in Game 2, you could see he struggled more to get open, and the shots that fell in Game 1 weren't falling in Game 2. That's why Philly lost.

Oh yeah- how helpful to Philly is Dikembe? I noticed the little things, like a crazy Iverson failed drive in the paint, so Iverson just throws the ball to Dikembe to avoid traveling. It's a bad pass, and would normally bounce off someone's hands, but Dikembe grabs it and dunks the ball. The guy has great hands..

Not as optimistic as you are, I just love being in a BBS where everyone hates the Lakers. [IMG]

Maybe the 3-0 is optimistic, but the rest of my post was fairly accurate. Philly played like crap, Lakers played well on their own court, and Philly still only lost this game at the foul line.

    From Yahoo:

However, teammate Shaquille O'Neal believes this is not another "Rocky" sequel. Instead, he has likened the NBA Finals to a street brawl with a bunch of alley cats who will stop at nothing to survive.

"They've been doing it all year," O'Neal said. "They just scratch and claw."

yea Z, it sounds like you are going to say this the whole series even if the lakers win 4-1. Philly played like crap? I think la's defense had a tad bit to do with that. If lue and fisher keep putting those arm bars on iverson then at the end of every game he will be so damn tired he'll miss his foul shots or turn the ball over like he did in game 3. La knows that philly has only 1 offensive scheme, let Iverson shoot, then try to rebound his miss, since 62% of the time he will miss. Lakers played well? They are still a little rusty from their 10 day lay-off and haven't even played close to the level they were. I thought the lakers would sweep philly but they play with more heart than any other team has, its amazing. But the lakers are too good, inside and out. They play good defense and have more talent than philly, period.

I can say only one thing (which of course is very unusual for me ... chuckle ...):

If Kobe happened to get his butt beat up every(damn)night by inside guys that towered over him by feet (not inches) and say after he had a bruised hip that got aggravated not once but on three seperate occasions in the last three weeks, and he had the flu twice in three weeks, and a partial subluxation of the elbow .... well ... when he finally told Phil he couldn't play anyomre and sat down and the Lakers lose the World Championship .... well I guess my question is ..... would Phil the Shill ask for an asterisk put beside the Sixers name on the Trophy?

( I doubt AI would even think of quitting. I doubt Brown would even suggest that the Lakers are playing against a full team. But realistically, the Lakers at their prime and playing their best game. While the beat up Sixers, with their incumbent leader dragging himself to the court everynight are still taking it to you Phil. I can't help but think old 'humble' Phil would be measuring the excuses for air play, if the roles were reversed.)

Hey Freak and Oily, I am starting to strongly dislike Shaq, Kobe and the Lakers. Before I was ambivalent (far from my worst like the Blazers or Jazz), though I recognized their talents and them as being a tremendous team. They are free falling on the tolerate-o-meter.
