so after Bari's rookie year where he shot 30% threes, you didn't expect him to improve that to 36% in just 1 year right/
When he is passive, Jabari is not doing very much for your Offense. They are playing the best Defense in the league with that said. Similar games against Boston, Knicks, Wolves etc. He is getting his numbers against mediocre teams.
I would rather he stay passive and stay in his lane, an “aggressive” Jabari trying to create on his own is an ugly sight and only hurts the team. The bigger issue with him is for a supposed defensive player he sure gets blown by and dusted for wide open dunks too often.
I don’t know what I hate more. Him waiting to brick the 3’s, getting manhandled by pgs in the post or dribbling like Ariza part 2.
Joe Rogan - Jamie can we pull up Jabari bricks on YouTube? Joe Rogan - hmmm ughhh ya, he’s a masssivvvvvve trash. Can’t take any Elks down.
Jabari starting to remind me of that crackhead on fear factor played by David Chappelle, what the hell is this dude doing out there can’t believe we garbled balls for a whole season for this dude
Sheppard will end up taking what comes to him as well. Jabari is a winning player that keeps improving. Cam takes too many shots and has tunnel vision per clutchfans. Green needs to isolate less and take what is coming to him. oh but Jabari needs to do less than that. This site doesn’t know up from down sometimes.
He had the easier shot to just shoot over players, but for some reason tonight he was dribbling into a crowd. It looked awkward and it bogged down the offense. Now if there’s an open space that’s a different story.
He did this all the time last year too - the problem then and now is that he just has no ability to observe the spacing of all players and gauge his next move accordingly. This is exactly why I've said that we've seen all there is to see with Jabari - there simply aren't the building blocks for him to grow his game. He'll improve (I hope) his existing strengths (perimeter shooting, rebounding, perimeter D) but probably not to a degree that he'll ever be more than a 5th-best starter or decent backup. The best role players are almost always smart and crafty, and I would never use either of those adjectives to describe Jabari. The Rockets really should have reconsidered taking Jabari when both teams that worked him out passed on him (with Orlando taking a guy - Paolo - they didn't even work out over him). It was a deep enough draft that we could have still gotten a good player (Murray, J-Dub, Mathurin, Duren) and some additional assets as well. If we'd taken J-Dub, we'd also probably have looked for a different option than Dylan in free agency. Of course, we also could have taken a non-factor like Dyson Daniels, Ousmane Dieng, AJ Griffin or (worst of all) Johnny Davis, so obviously my scenario had the risk of making things worse. But as it stands now, I see Jabari as poor value for the 3rd pick.
