It is and it isn't that easy. Sure, of course, eating healthy, working out, good will power, portion control. Those are all great things to do for normal people. Those of us that are truly food addicts, it's not that easy. I tried that for the better part of two decades and failed miserably at it. I'd rather take a weekly injection, have a much healthier relationship with food than continue to **** up on my own.
There are definitely side effects: The most common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, decreased appetite, constipation, upper abdominal discomfort, and abdominal pain.
It gives folks a break mentally from the endless cravings and puts them on a path to succeed. It's not some easy way out. You still have to eat healthy and control your calories. But the diff is feeling more full and having less cravings.
Don't forget side effects of feeling good, feeling good, and feeling good. Oh no! Not decreased appetite!! Lol. But yeah, nausea is a big one for me in the morning. I need two hours to brush my teeth. Then the nausea subsides significantly. Small price to pay for 89 lbs lost.
I've had a prescription for Wegovy for over a month that's been approved by my insurance, but I still can't find it anywhere.
Try that service I suggested, brah. Depends if you want to wait or not for the medicine, as well. Insito MedFinder is the name. It's I think $50 per med search, and if they can't find it, then you get the money back. No frustrating back order slips! Free free free! (Just Kidding on the last two sentences, they aren't sponsored by Mattress Mac or anything ). Now there's no guarantee they'll be able to find it , because the lower dosages ARE pretty hard to find, but worth a shot.
Try Woodlands Compounding Pharmacy. They can make it from scratch although they will charge a bit more.
honestly i wouldn't bother.. https://www.epicresearch.org/articl...-greatest-weight-loss-among-glp-1-medications Patients on tirzepatide lost the greatest percentage of weight compared to all other GLP-1 medications studied.
I have type two diabetes and I use Ozempic almost two years. Lost 20 lbs. had nausea and bloating at first. But now my body has adjusted to it. Helped with my blood sugars though
Gave this service a try and heard nothing for a couple of days. Just when I was ready to bail, they texted me and said they found some at a pharmacy about 5 miles away. I just transferred my scrip to said pharmacy and now just waiting for the go-ahead to pick it up. Hope they don't run out before they get my scrip. Wish me luck!
Nice. Yeah, I've heard via the grape vine (Reddit mostly) that it can take a minute for their search process. Probably doesn't help that everyone and their mother is on Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound, etc. Lot of demand, low supply, blah blah blah. Lmk if they have it for ya!
Just picked it up. Man, can't say enough about that service. It cost $50 and with my insurance, a month supply was only $24. So all told, it's costing me $75/month. Honestly, I'm still a little skeptical but why wouldn't I try it for that price?
Kick ass man. Glad to hear it was there still by the time you picked it up. As for the weight loss portion of things, you probably won't see much until you get on the higher dosages of it, but that's to be expected. You'll see minimal weight loss until you get a bit higher, but everyone has to start at the low dose and work their way up. That's just how it goes . You'll get there and reporting that you're a skinny man in no time on this excellent BBS. One cool thing is that even though the lower dosages are in popular (crazy popular) demand, you might not have to use the service the next time around (possibly). Because maybe that pharmacy has a good track record of getting it or something. Who knows. I will say once you get to the higher dosages, 24 hour Walgreens are pretty solid. That's where I get mine, but I take the 2.4 mg dose of Wegovy.
Had been going there. I think they started to water it down some. The last couple round I got from there had little to no effect, even when taking the full dose. And yeah, it's expensive. I'm now purchasing online through Prime Peptides. You do have to mix it yourself but at least you can control the concentration.
link should work for everyone Like many doctors, I was once condescending to obese patients. I regret it. My own experience initially led me to believe that weight loss was just a matter of commitment and a modicum of self-control. https://wapo.st/3YbVJwK
I think people underestimate how much our HORMONES control us. That's where these meds help. It's not just about having "self-control". Obviously you should have good habits and don't buy things that can set you up for failure. (i.e. don't buy snacks you shouldn't be eating...do go to Happy hour if you shouldn't be drinking..)
I'm 58 and just under 5'9. A couple weeks ago I weighed 303! That was when I took my first injection of compounded semaglutide that I received from Hims. I just took my third today. I'm down to 290. It definitely eliminates and reduces my appetite. After an injection I can fast 2 days. Thereafter I need to eat. The first time that I needed to eat I was disappointing and thought that the injection wasn't sufficiency effective. I grilled two cheeseburgers, no bread, only mustard. I was shocked to discover that I was FULL after eating only one! The dogs split the second. I'm sticking to salmon, non-breaded chicken, beef, and avoiding all sugar and carbs with the exceptions of sweet potatoes (baked), asparagus, and avocados. I'm thrilled that I can eat a small portion of fish and asparagus one time a day and be satiated! It's CRITICAL to avoid sugar and carbs. I also try to move such as taking the dogs for walks. I hope to soon incorporate some resistance/weight training. I'm currently taking 25 units once per week. It's my hope that I can replace bad habits with good ones when it comes to diet and a more active lifestyle. My dream is to get under 200, a weight I haven't had in 25 years. Anyway, have you tried it?
