That throw looks harmless to me, what am I missing? Are the dodgers the biggest group of crybabies in the history of mlb?
I would give the Mets a puncher's chance at winning it all, but if you've got to come in with Maton and then Stanek in the 8th to protect a lead after having a day off, yikes. Maybe it was the 6-0 lead that afforded that, but this pen will not survive ultimately.
Dodgers just don’t have the starting pitching this year. They’re almost having to rely on Ohtani getting back to being an every 4th day starter at this point…. They’ll probably also overpay for JV now as well (as well as Kikuchi). All those wanting the Astros to trade starters… the dodgers will probably come asking. Do you do it? Of course I’m dead-set against trading any starter with promise ever.
Meanwhile Joe Davis, who happens to be the main PBP announcer for the Dodgers, is out here delivering a master-class on how to call an unbiased, non-agenda driven game.
The fact that the Dodgers had no choice but to start Beuhler in this series shows you how dire the situation is with their starting rotation. Padres need to end this tomorrow night. Do not let this get back to LA.
He's the modern day Alex Rodriguez. Terrific regular season, fraudulent in the post season. Batting barely above the Mendoza line for his career. Hell even ARod didn't choke that badly. You love to see it.
JV will be another Kershaw for them. Old and injured and overall a question mark. But Kikuchi(wanted Ohtani when he was a Jay. If your ex team couldn't sign him, why not join him. Plus with Yamamoto and them eventually going after Sasaki, maybe he wants to be with a group of Japanese people). Who else , Burnes is top pitcher. Then you also have guys like Fried and Severino. Do they dare to go after Soto????
Dodgers choking brings me almost as much joy as the Astros winning. edit; I jinxed it, grand slam 5 seconds after I made the post fml
