The truth is that fans were not ready for a rebuild and were not used to it and complained

 

I wouldn’t be surprised but I don’t feel like he would benefit from gleague like Cam did but the again they say pg is the hardest position to transition from college to the pros

 

He was always a raw prospect despite his draft position. He still looks like he’s got bird bones. Rockets got so much talent somebody is going to have to take a back seat.

Yeah that's why I think he's going to be the first of our draft picks gone, hopefully in a trade so we can get something.

The usage just isn't there for him on this team. Green, Sengun, Amen's growth is going to come before his.

I still think he can be 20-10 guy, just won't be here. Lots of players grow on their second teams so it wouldn't be uncommon at all.

I mean he will probably never be any of those guys you named though...

Only way I can see him staying is if we make a run at the Finals before the decision on him is up and he's playing his role well then at that point you have to make a tough decision to break up something that works or to let him go.

Yep, it is what it is, we have way too many prospects some of them just weren't going to grow here.

I think right now the core is Sengun, Jalen, and Amen. Cam and Reed still have a lot to prove but those three guys are going to be the guys the team builds around.

 

Sadly, I think so too. Even as an off ball 3 and D guy he leaves a lot to be desired. You would think a 6'11" guy who competes on defense and shoots it well from deep would be a huge asset for the offense, but that's just not the case.

You forget he's out there because he hasn't figured out how to drift into a position to get those drive and kick opporutnities.

I get that he isn't featured for us on offense, but that's really not a valid excuse for him to be so passive. Between Amen, Fred, and Alpi we have enough guys that will find you if you are open.

Like, he's the kind of player that will stay parked in the corner if that's what the play calls for no matter what the defense is doing. Contrast that with other guys on our team who will drift on the sideline or baseline to give the ball handler an angle to them.

He's still young so there's time but he could really make a name for himself as the big shooter that opens the floor up for our other guys.
