With the light reflecting them the blue is not even close to being what the Oilers and many other teams use. Hooker needs to stop clutching her dusty pearls. Wanting them to make this their primary Home unis and add more of the blue to it just to annoy Amy even more.
At the stadium today, my son and I both said that blue looks nothing like Oiler blue. It’s brighter..more “electric”. Not as pale as Oiler blue. You could tell big time by the accent sleeves the players wore and by the logo at midfield.
Agreed. It's like someone took oiler blue and cranked up the saturation. I liked them. But I'm not sure how I feel about them as a full time kit.
I like them as a once-a-year uniform, I really like the accented BLUE.................it was a nice change
I liked them more than I thought I would be the htown blue is definitely more an electric / neon blue than the luv ya columbia blue of the oilers we all long for. F the adams family.
Hey, Sam...tell us your p***y hurts without telling us your p***y hurts. https://atozsports.com/nfl/tennesse...houston-hype-video-narrates-nfl-news-betrays/
Does he really get paid to write these things? I'd feel worse for his employer. I fully expect that if the Texans get to the point of having sustained real success... ALL of the old Oiler greats that are slumming it in Nashville once a year for whenever they honor those Houston teams, will make their way back to the Houston stage. They made their living playing in Houston. They raised their families in Houston. When they did charity work, they did it for Houstonians. When they connected with the media, it was with members of the Houston TV stations or newspapers. They couldn't care less where the team currently is. The question he should be asking... is why a team that has been in Nashville now for almost 30 years (almost longer than they were actually in Houston).... still can't come up with their own identity/history.
Does anyone know where to find cheaper Texans gear online? I am not a fan of Dicks or Academy prices, I don't mind if they were "unofficial" but just want the new logo and color scheme.
Bruce still lives here in Ft Bend County. Jake, Kevin and Mikey all went to Elkins, two of them the same time as my son. It shouldn't be a surprise he 100% identifies with the Texans more than the Titans. He's been a Houstonian for over 40 years!
They're "Deep Steel Blue," but they definitely look Black on screen. They're a very, very dark shade of blue I guess.
It's the difference between light and baby. Columbia (baby) picks up the pastel and light picks up more red in the ratio without getting purple.
Yep. It also speaks volumes that in 30 years, that franchise is still as nondescript and has no real tangible HISTORY compared to the same team that played in Houston for 30 years. Their biggest moment? The Wycheck lateral that took place within 3 years after they moved there (and probably would have been called a forward pass with todays replay reviews). That likely still exceeds the super bowl they played in, against a team that also has since moved despite having even more 'history' at their new location. They should have embraced the fresh start... embraced the players/coaches that were basically career Titans (McNair, George, Jeff Fisher) instead of trying to shove Warren Moon and Earl Campbell towards a fan base that never saw them play there. It also speaks volumes as to how attached the city of Houston was to that team, and how revered the players were here (most of which continue to live here), and they had to try and capitalize on that with rings of honor (that are mostly ex-Oilers), throwbacks that are solely Oilers uniforms, and preventing Houston from channeling into any of that... because that's apparently all they have. Its sad... but its actually par for the course for an Adams-run franchise.
Blue bull on helmet, H on the shoulder and regular cloth on the numbers. To those that purchased it, what material is the red? Easy fix
