I have now become the latest convert to being a fan of Taylor Swift. No, I have not lost my mind. I have always liked pop music, especially pop with electronic flourishes and Taylor has quite a few songs and albums of that genre. I admit I get tired of all the coverage she receives, but you cannot deny the talent she has. Plus she seems from everything I have read, that she is a nice and genuine person. So don’t call me a Swiftie just yet but hate on me all you want- I will just SHAKE IT OFF!!
I threw up in my mouth and then laughed a little. I keed I keed. Doesn’t matter to me if you like her. Beauty of music is how the same artist can make people feel different things entirely. Have at it, Manny.
I like her, I know a few songs and I love her video, "shake it off", herself deprecating humor shines through. Granted, I grew up with RUSH as my go to but I have always like a few pop songs here and there..........I even like some Justin Timberlake songs. If it gets my toes tappin then I am in https://www.bing.com/videos/rivervi...id=91318E9B9847470C90CDB1FA065B4EC9&FORM=VIRE
Shake It Off is about as ear-worm-y a song as has ever exisited. Whenever I hear it by accident, I always, always find myself singing it in my head several hours later without intending. Not a huge fan, but I listened to 1989 a bunch when I was still really into Ryan Adams when he covered the album to hear the contrast. It is very good, very slick well constructed album. I don't think Ive listened to much else by her, but she is clearly very talened and she managed to totally switch genres from country to pop which is not something many can do. I have nothing but respect. Honestly I see a lot of male fragility in people who are obsessed with hating on Taylor Swift. I promise you agressively denouncing her at every opportunity won't protect you from turning gay. You don't have to be a superfan, or even a fan at all to appreciate the skill and talent she has herself and around her.
I actually like that "love story" song from back in the day before she got so huge. My band of course plays some of her songs and Shake It Off is really fun to play on the drums. I really LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact that she re-recorded a bunch of her songs just so she could own them instead of some corporate conglomerate owning them. Mad respect for that. Every artist should own their own songs, especially if they wrote them. Speaking of that, she writes her own songs (I think?) which is really rare these days. And yes, she's beautiful. Those legs....they just go on forever.... The only thing I hate about her is that she's a chief's fan. But she has a reason to be, I guess. She's from Nashville, so at least she's not a titan's fan...
