I sometimes post in D&D, but not much, I guess. I don’t find many rational liberals who are open-minded, able to self-reflect, willing to consider whether they’re wrong or right, or willing to try to understand perspectives that are different from theirs. I consider myself “mostly conservative “. I do sometimes agree with some liberal perspectives. I am not a member of the Republican Party, nor do I feel blind loyalty to any political candidate, ever (and neither should you).

Taking what you say at face value, I’m not that different. I am fiscally conservative, socially moderate and have been for years. I haven’t been wedded to any political party either, and have voted for both sides, depending on the candidate. Times have dramatically changed since Trump arrived on scene. Trumpers/Maga/closet Trump supporters are irredeemable and a plague to the country. When that entire group lacks the ability or desire to deal in facts, there is little point in discussion. Look no further than the nonsense frequently spammed by these folks on CF. It would be refreshing to actually discuss tax or fiscal policy, or the extent to which an administration can actually influence oil/gas prices or inflation. Likewise, it would be great to discuss different perspectives on sexuality, diversity, and how the current generation differs from those in their 40s and 50s. Lots of fun things to explore. I see few CF members on the liberal side spamming nonsense from Twitter like bots, or quoting objectively worthless left wing nut jobs. If some of the conservative posters would like to identify the CF liberals who are doing this, please do respond to me because I would like to know. But as far as I can see,the disease is pretty uniquely MAGA and MAGA supporters.
