I appreciate your response. You're always well spoken and I appreciate that but I'm hearing a lot of reports on 1510 AM talk radio here in Nashville from people that are not getting the help.- Granted, this is a right wing Political talkshow but these people are real and they are not getting the help that they need so As much as I like top down information on this to me, it's more important about bottom up information from real people being affected further why is their pushback from FEMA about hurricane funds when there is deep pockets for illegal immigration?
I am sure that there are people that are still suffering and not getting the help right now that they need - that happens every single disaster - regardless of administration. What I am saying is that Biden has been to the areas impacted by Helene - that he immediately granted all of the funds requested by the governors, that he has released money to reimburse charities to encourage charities to keep helping in the region - he also has released the funds to repair damages from Helene and he even released additional funds yesterday - that were never requested by the governors. If you want to be cynical - Biden would do everything possible because there is an election coming up and he doesn't want Trump to win. This is all politics sadly - President Trump said that Biden wasn't answering the phone calls of the Governor of Georgia over the disaster. The Governor said that he has had no issue speaking to Biden and that Biden had already granted all of the requests that the governor had before Trump made his remarks. So - logically, Biden is doing everything that can be done - even if for selfish reasons. Is everyone instantaneously being helped? No - it just isn't possible. However, it makes a good talking point politically to claim Biden isn't doing everything possible.
Thank you for stating this. If we went off anecdotal evidence, I can see how individuals like @ROXRAN would be upset, however, we have to deal with the facts presented, and as you stated the federal government is providing the resources needed to help those states. Whether it's for political reasons or simply that Biden loves this country and wants to make sure and help, the aid is authorized. Hopefully those that have not been helped will get the help they need soon.
Yeahhh, this doesn't make sense. Lol 51-52% of the PV? Why would he win the PV when he's lost it in the past 2 elections? He will lose the popular vote by over 10 million this time.
No, but see, you can't show us a list of exactly 10,000,000 Republican officials and former office holders who have said they will vote for Harris and not Trump. Only, like, 400 of those people.
I know people in the absolute epicenter of this, and I know Houstonians can sympathize with what people are facing and what "immediate help" can and cannot do. one additional problem in the case of NC is that so many critical roads are just gone. Anyway, I have a bunch of folks there who are doing okay. It's nice to hear how neighbors band together. One person has natural gas working, so everyone in the hood takes showers there. Another couple of families have generators, so everyone is charging their phones there and so on. Hopefully with dry weather, and waters receding, progress will pick up rapidly now. Folks need more transportation, more gasoline, and supplies of potable water. (By the way, these folks aren't whining about the federal gubmint, but more wondering about their votes over the last 20 years that maybe left something to be desired in terms of *county and state* emergency planning and response.)
Cringe? Yeah it is.... Embarrassing? Nah - they seem like they actually like each other as a family. The mom and dad look happy - and the kids all are from the same woman and man... they are doing something together. Honestly reminds me of some of the Mormon families I have known.
As much as I believe Trump would get Kamala'd again in another debate, with less than 5 weeks left, there no time to spend a week setting up and the time needed to prepare for a debate. She should just spend the next 4.5 weeks hitting the swing states hard.
I know you want to bash Biden and Harris because that's your maga narrative and I get it, but where is YOUR outrage on maga Gov Robinson Demanding help from the Hurricane yet didn't vote for it. Hypocrisy, I get it, like maga folks taking credit for the Infrastructure Bill when it helped out their cities and states but did not vote of because the orange man didn't want it passed. Times like this should not be political, but I was a little surprised about the lies maga and trump have been spewing all week just to get debunked an hour later. Were all humans and I don't give a rat's ass if the folks who need help are left, right, straight, gay, purple, black, white or trans. Hypocrite Mark Robinson Demanding Hurricane Relief He Didn’t Vote For Robinson, a Trump-endorsed alleged p*rn enthusiast and self-declared “Black NAZI” who is currently running for governor, has spent the week since needling Cooper over the state’s emergency response—which Robinson himself apparently helped dampen. Robinson posted on X Sunday that “the time for politics is over. We are talking about saving people’s lives here.” Then why did he not approve Cooper’s emergency request? https://newrepublic.com/post/186639/mark-robinson-skip-hurricane-helene-aid-vote
I'm just offended that Trump has anything to say about disappointing hurricane response given his own poor track record.
How about reading the article instead of a Xeet headline. https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/kamala-harris-immigration-lead-mexico-border-biden-administration/
Just to remind people that Trump’s hurricane response was to complain how wet they are and how hard it was to get aid to Puerto Rico because it’s an island. He also blamed local officials there and undercut them. He did the same thing during CoVId. On the other hand the Biden Harris Admin is working closely with local authorities and governors. Yes in a disaster aid can never come fast enough and there are problems but if Trump Supporters are going to criticize the Biden Administration over its response it is ver fair to look at what Trump did if he wants to be president again.
When you flood the zone with half truths and bullshit, the finer details get pushed away in a petty game of whatabouttisms
We see that this social media is full of lies. Although this is the same poster and social media feed that gave us the forewarning that Pro-Hamas protestors were dismantling a barricade by hand so they could storm the Democratic convention. Then later when questioned about it, a social media protest showed people quietly and peacefully walking arm in and arm. Absolutely hilarious.
Kamala initially denies Hurricane Aid to Red State...oh wait. https://www.eenews.net/articles/hel...mp-inserted-politics-into-a-natural-disaster/
