It's 2024, and the #1 long-term global risk in the next 10 years is Extreme Weather Events. 4 of the top 10 are related to a warming planet.

Global Risks Report 2024 | World Economic Forum | World Economic Forum (weforum.org)
The Global Risks Report, developed in collaboration with Marsh McLennan and Zurich Insurance Group, explores some of the most severe risks we may face over the next decade, against a backdrop of rapid technological change, economic uncertainty, a warming planet and conflict. As cooperation comes under pressure, weakened economies and societies may only require the smallest shock to edge past the tipping point of resilience.

I’ve been feeling were already past the tipping point and all we can do now is deal
The effects of climate change than reverse it.

And people were criticizing Harris and Biden for not coming earlier when they said they were holding off because they didn’t want to get in the way of
    Rescue operations.

And if Biden didn’t show up I suspect you would be criticizing him still.

Also as posted earlier contrary to claims made in this very thread that the Federal government wasn’t doing anything the ever tweet shows that US military was doing something and only temporarily suspended operations for the presidential visit.

From the article you posted earlier, but were either too lazy to read or lack basic reading comprehension skills.

"Seidhom said the military helicopters sent to the area were too large to land in the tight confines of the debris fields and mountainsides where people need to be rescued. Rescue coordinators are asking for smaller helicopters like Seidhom’s to help."
