As a fan, this is a weird feeling in recent years.

Hader sux and Pressly has been done obviously for a while. The Astros depending on those two made no sense. We were never winning a WS this year.

They found 2 runs but gave away a lot more.

Even if we would have won this game, this team couldn’t go much longer.
Ending the season the way we started it !!

I get it's the move you have to make because they're paid to perform in those situations. But everyone on this board knew that we weren't going to hold that lead with pressly and hader. It was obvious and we still couldn't prevent it.

Welp… that’s the dynasty run. 7 AlCS, 4 trips to WS, 2 chips.

Won’t see a run like that again for Astros in my lifetime

At the end of the day 29 out of 32 teams would take Hader in a heartbeat to be their closer. Baseball is just a b****

    With that said:

Pressly has to go. Non debatable.
    Need a true first baseman.
Bregman back only if it makes sense.
Take trade offers on Peña and put Matthews at short

Honestly think the Yankees are getting back to the WS now with us out of the way. Hell they would've beaten us so at least we saved ourselves from that.......

The window has finally slammed shut on the Astros after 7 years. Thanks to Hader, Pressly, Bagwell, Espada and our invisible bats.

Never felt this year's team was truly championship caliber, but getting beat by the Tigers is an absolute embarrassment. The Astros lacked swag.

This team will continue to decline over the next few seasons, due to Bregman likely leaving this offseason, Tucker likely leaving after next season, an aging Altuve, a physically fragile Yordan, a mentally fragile Framber, a poor FO, and worst of all, a weak farm system.

They're up against the tax and 30 million dollars of Abreu and Montero don't come off the books until the end of next year. Verlander will be gone but and Bregman will make roughly the same salary if he doesn't walk, but that doesn't fix the gaping holes at 1B and LF unless you really believe in Zach Desenzo

Did the Astros have a grand slam this year? Now would be a good time
