This is a great post, but I totally disagree with the "chemical filled produce and meat" It's quite easy and not much more expensive to shop for stuff that does not fit that criteria. Does it take more effort? Yes.
You have to really look for it at restaurants, but even the best restaurants in the US would not offer anything like a basic greek salad in greece from just about any hole in the wall joint. You can not get a tomato that tastes like it does in Greece anywhere I have been in the US, regardless of price point or how high end the grocery store is. American beef is banned in many countries for a reason. Maybe i have just not come across it and don't know where to look, but as far as produce goes I have not found things on the level of parts of Europe.
You can get that tomato in my garden or greenhouse. But I get your point. American beef is top shelf if you want to pay the money to get the good stuff. Same with seafood and other proteins. Where we Americans **** it all up is with grains.
Back to Steven Adams. I was surprised he said he was approaching recovery as a two year plan. It sounded to me like load management is going to be a legit thing with this yr. I’m expecting not only games off, but also limited minutes. This is all to say, I think Landale is going to stick with this team and get some playing time. I don’t know where Jeff Green and Tate find any minutes.
I hope we didn’t waste another 3 second round picks. That would suck. But I’m certainly concerned that he’s apparently not close to 100% after a ton of time to rehab.
Steven Adams is playing this year and according to this thread he gains his strength from chugging A-1 steak sauce like Popeye does from canned spinach.
I’m of course excited about seeing how much our young guys have grown, but I’m really most excited about seeing how Adams impacts the team from a toughness and defensive standpoint.
I think people REALLY misunderstood Adams two year plan. With this injury for a decade now, trainers have been saying from the point at which you are cleared for NBA games you need two years to get to 100%. That applies to all people who are healthy after their rehab. There's just a level of bounce and trust that emerges after 12 months of playing. He's not saying he needs longer than others or that he's not healthy. It will be the typical starting with 10-15 minutes. By game 30 he can go full backup C minutes. By game 50 he will be able to go starter minutes and be 95% of himself. The following season he'll get back to 100%. There could be a small setback along the way. For a guy who doesn't rely on athleticism, these processes tend to go smoother and with fewer setbacks. For a team with its best player at C, there's unlikely to be more than 15-20 minutes available at backup C anyway. He's going to be fine. I loved hearing he had given thought to how he'll help Jalen. I hope he shares some things with Green that made Morant successful. I see Green and Adams playing with 3 spacers as our second unit so that we don't exhaust Sengun/FVV.
