Sure buddy, killing 100 civilians to get one bad guy is a war crime, if you didn't know. Ya don't wanna mess with Iran because its 90 million of 'em. Not like Lebanon or Palestine.
I don't think 90 million of them actually want to destroy Israel - we do know the Iranian government and its satellite allies - Hamas and Hezbollah does - They made that very clear on October 7 but now they are paying the price- You mentioned 100 civilians for one terrorist. Is this incredible imagination or from a Hamas/hezbollah/Iran friendly media source ? Maybe its from the ministry of Gaza which is Hamas after all lol either way your side is losing
Lol 50k civilians died so far, n how many bad guys? Do the math, n quit doing what you're doing. All of y'all in that region are bloodthirsty war criminals, not much better than one n another when ya get a chance to kill each other.
I'm most concerned about China sitting back and building up its arsenal while essentially its vassals deplete the US led munition supply (particularly the high end stuff if our carrier group gets directly involved in Iran) and drain the public will to stand up against them.
According to the Gaza ministry of information 50,000 complete innocent civilians and not one Hamas operative dead -
Kinda, but it is a little different. One, our commitment to Israel is deeper than our commitment to Ukraine. And two, Ukraine isn't dragging us in like Israel seems to be trying to drag us in. Ukraine was trying to live its life and got invaded, while Netanyahu has been itching to fight Iran for years.
That's a fair point. However, the timing of Netanyahu is poor with the US involved with Russia and China looming. I'm not too sure the US views Iran?israel/Middle East as strategically important compared to Europe and Asia.
Fair enough. As I said there is a debate to be had about where this all started after ww2 with the UN and the US’s decision to grant a Jewish state. Antisemitism in the region wasn’t aligned with the antisemitism in Europe necessarily and what it is now is likely tied to the settlements and not the ideology of guys like Hitler. That being said I personally do support think we should still support Israel moving forward but we have to content with the fact that when they do things now it’s essentially in our name and I sure as hell didn’t sign up for Netanyahu’s bullsh$t.
If Israel is dumb enough to get involved in a ground war in Iran - and Iranians start dying, they will want and will kill Israeli’s… while many Iranian’s hate their government, they also hate dying from a theoretical ground invasion. There seems to be this idea by some in the West that the people of the Middle East view Israel as this great liberator - that isn’t the case. They may align with Israel in some issues or because they hate another enemy more - but there is wide spread distrust of Israel.
I have no interest in showing favored status to Israel. I have no interest in US military ships being involved or in the region. Zero desire for US troops to be involved and wouldn’t share intelligence with them beyond what is shared with other nations in the region.
I think the April response was held in check. Now Netanyahu is not listening to the US. He wants safety for his people and as long as the regime is around and funding the factions, they won't be safe. It's time. I might get messy but it's time. In his speech earlier he made comments on how well the Iranian's will like their upcoming freedom - separating the regime from the people. The US camp says he won't respond by hitting the nuclear sites since it's no real harm was done yesterday, but I believe he will - and he should. The last thing this regime needs is some nukes and they are real close to getting some. Once he does that, it's going to be gloves off on both sides with some level of US involvement ("in the name of peace"). Netanyahu has a mission just like the Iranian regime has a mission. And of course I could be totally wrong on this - it wouldn't be the 1st time. I just think Netanyahu is not going to play tit-for-tat games anymore. He wants to finish his mission and the timing now vs later is looking like it's better to do it now.
While many in the Middle East including in Iran don’t like the rule of fundamentalists they aren’t going to sit by and accept Israel bombing or invading them. Israel invaded and occupied parts of Lebanon before and they weren’t treated as liberators. For that matter Palestinians in West Bank certainly don’t view Israel as liberators.
I suspect that Netanyahu has been pushing these attacks because of the both his own political fortunes and also the US election.
I don’t disagree with you on what Netanyahu wants - but I don’t see Israel going beyond targeted bombing. I don’t think he will commit to a ground war and that is what would likely be needed to cause a revolution. You could be wrong - I could be wrong. Who knows.
