The sad thing is our pitching, after Framber of course, did what they needed to do. Our batters were just not up for the challenge today. They let Skubal get ahead 0-1 or 0-2 in every ****ing count outside of like 1-2 innings, and then started take sitting heat down the middle once the Tigers bullpen got into the game. Even if this offense turns this around tomorrow and onward, I really believe a change in hitting coaches might be necessary.
Milo somewhere: “And if you’re gonna take a 1-0 lead in this short series you gotta go get ‘em Astros here in the bottom of the 9th”
Giving up big innings early demoralized this team for the entire game last year. That hasn't changed. Many players seem happy to just have been to playoffs again and may be waiting for their next big payday. This is not a playoff team, even if they come back and win the next 2 which I fully expect.
Dumbass decision to waste Hader here. Even if you think you can use him again, you're letting them see Hader.
It makes zero sense to give them a look at Hader in a lost game. Save him for game 2 if you need him. So dumb.
