Email I was working on: Dan; Following up on our meeting on site we have dug more into what we think was done when the building was originally built. We believe the 2-hr separation and horizontal exit were constructed in the original 2005 project because the guest room corridor would otherwise be accessing an exit via an unprotected A-3 occupancy space. The horizontal exit would provide a termination for the rated guest room corridor, thus allowing the egress path to remain in compliance with 2000 IBC 1004.3.2.1. ALTUVE JUST GOT A HIT! GO TUVE!!
This is a terrible lineup Detroit is trotting out with their only truly dangerous hitter in Carpenter benched against lefties. Their cleanup hitter has a .652 OPS just to put the awfulness in context (24 RBIs). This is literally a spring training lineup. Just a tragic outing for Framber. Should have an easy 7 or 8 innings, 1 or fewer runs given up.
