What an incredible human being and great man, died so young but left his mark on this world like no other. The world has lost one of the greatest ambassadors for the sport of basketball and the originator of one of the best taunt in all of sports, the finger wag. There will never be another Dikembe Mutombo R.I.P.
Tragic and sad. I was not optimistic from what I had read. Daryl Morey wrote something some months ago where he said Dikembe was really struggling. A really good person.
Was stopping here to post this. Just heard the news. I’m shocked.. He was literally a larger than life figure.

RIP Dikembe. Played his butt off for the Rockets until his body gave in. And overall just a fun player to watch on the defensive end...not a lot of players got the crowd that excited on defense. And great and charitable human being off the court.
Damn it, cancer is such a monster. I remember eating at the Luby's on Waugh one time, and I heard this very loud and gruff voice. It sounded so familiar, then I look and it's Dikembe enjoying a chicken fried steak plate.
