You/we can say now, yeah, this ain’t a contender or not as good as we thought. But coming in? Nah, I’m not going back to “re-adjust expectations”. Sure, Super Bowl was a little ambitious but not totally wtf crazy. Stroud Acquired Mixon Collins-Diggs-Dell (Even beyond those three, “wow, our WR is so deep, gonna be some tough cuts!”) Re-signed Schultz, drafted Stover Now the OL is a “problem” but they brought everyone back (with a question mark at LG/what Green would be) Anderson/Hunter (I know, we can now go back and question whether they’ve “won” or “lost” that Greenard/Cashman/Hunter/Azeez swap) They did have question marks at DT. (Traded Collins, lost Rankins) Question marks at 2nd CB spot/opposite Stingley (Henderson? Okudah? Lassiter?) And fans were clamoring for a safety (but doubled down on their guys Pitre/Ward) And for whatever it’s worth, reason/excuse/whatever, without Christian Harris/Denico Autry Praised for retaining Slowik and Jerrod Johnson. But the expectations were/are too high? Nah, them underachieving now doesn’t make expectations too high. Start playing better. Start coaching better. Cut the bullshit penalties out.
But seriously, this reminds me so much of the Jerry Glanville Oilers….penalties were just unreal…and it’s like that all over again but without the House of Pain vibe
How can a team function with these penalties? How? Someone has to get fired over this!! This is ridiculous!
Screen play on first and 20. Scruggs with yet another penalty. Now another idiotic penalty. This team needs discipline and better coaches.
Might as well throw deep here and hope for a penalty. No 3rd and 18 plays exist. ETA: Reverse jinxing feels like this?
