I like Demeco but wonder how this team would play under a coach like Belichick

 

BOB-level clock management

 

Ready to give up on this OLine already

 

- Oline can't pass or run block.
- Dline can't stop the pass or run block
- ST already has multiple disastrous plays this season.

Texans have been living off a subpar division ever since Peyton stopped throwing passes in it. The fact Luck retired early was, well, lucky.

 

This coaching staff isn't contender status quite yet and will likely get out coached by other more seasoned coaches. Stroud can be an equalizer but it's hard for even a superstar QB to make up for too many coaching deficiencies.

 

There are much better coaches out there, and much more disciplined teams.

 

With 14 points given up through 4 weeks by special team meltdowns, and a very poor punter, they're two-thirds the way there to the magical 2010 Chargers ST.

 

Rookie OT takes a bit to figure it out. OG is a much easier transition.

 

Believe it or not Clock Management is an issue with ALL Shanahan ex coordinators. Sean McVey had to hire a special consultant to help with his CM.

I don't see any improvement than when we had half our starters out last year. None.

(That was actually some of the best coaching, talent assemblage, and coaching staff assemblage that BB has done in his entire career… hell, some say Baltimore still good in part because of THAT foundation that was set…. Which is amazing given how long ago that was).

Albeit, got most of that from Lombardi’s recaps and nobody could have predicted the subsequent success at that point… but just the names on that coaching staff and future GM’s that went onto major success elsewhere…

 

Why is Demeco and co. so trash at managing time in 2 minute drills? We had a timeout left.

One thing you can’t forget about the OL is that this group has played less than 5 games together. Don’t excuse the mental mistakes though, but it does contribute to the poor blocking.

 

So good that they had 1 winning record in 5 seasons
