This basically ends the wolves current era, gobert trade is now an even bigger disaster then it already was. Massive for the spurs also who have some picks coming from the wolves. Not a big towns fan but he's way better than randle, and randle isn't nearly the shooter towns is, wolves offense will be even worse.
Pardon the cliché, but I don't consider KAT a "winning player". My initial impressions: This is an addition by subtraction move for the T-Wolves. They wanted KAT and his contract gone so badly they took nickels and dimes in return. This makes them a worse team. From the Knicks side, there are too many wing players on the roster and they have a donut hole in the middle. Adding KAT doesn't seem to change that. I also question if Thibs and KAT are compatible with each other.
Towns is a top 5 talent, and this should be an absolute massive win for them on paper. However Towns has proven to be Charmin soft mentally and physically on many occasions. NYC is not an easy place to be for somebody like that.
Not gonna lie, going to miss Divencenzo/Hart/Brunson combo. With the way Reid played last year, and KAT not necessarily being that player, the move doesn't seem that bad.
That could be true but I think Towns is massively overrated. They may not win big without him but I sincerely doubt they were ever gonna win big with him.
He is better than both Gobert and Julius Randle who are both space killing bigs on toxic contracts. Him and Ant had a special chemistry and he was Ant's biggest backer on their team. Everybody talking about Booker but the Rox should start positioning themselves for an Ant trade in a couple of years.
